Hebrews  3:15-4:7. Chiastic structure copied from Chiastic Analysis of the Epistle to the Hebrews,  arranged by John Bligh (Athenaeum Press, Heythrop College, Oxon, England: 1966). Bligh's work is almost entirely in Greek. For website purposes, I have used unaccented Greek from the Unbound Bible, Nestle-Aland 26/27, at unbound.biola.edu
I have added English from the New American Standard Bible, revised.

A 15 en tw legesqai shmeron ean thV fwnhV autou akoush
while it is said, "Today if you hear His voice,

te mh sklhrunhte taV kardiaV umwn wV en tw parapikrasmw
do not harden your hearts, as when they provoked Me."

B 16 tineV gar akousanteV parepikranan
For who provoked Him when they had heard?

all ou panteV oi exelqonteV ex aiguptou dia mwusewV
Indeed, did not all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses?

17 tisin de proswcqisen tesserakonta eth
And with whom was He angry for forty years?

ouci toiV amarthsasin wn ta kwla epesen en th erhmw
Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

C 18 tisin de wmosen mh eiseleusesqai eiV thn katapausin autou
And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest,

ei mh toiV apeiqhsasin  but to those who were disobedient?

D 19 kai blepomen oti ouk hdunhqhsan eiselqein di apistian
So we see that they were not able to enter because of unbelief.
E 4:1 fobhqwmen oun mhpote  Therefore, let us fear if,

kataleipomenhV epaggeliaV eiselqein eiV thn katapausin autou
while a promise remains of entering His rest,

F dokh tiV ex umwn usterhkenai
any one of you may seem to have come short of it.
E* 2 kai gar esmen euhggelismenoi kaqaper kakeinoi
For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also;
D* all ouk wfelhsen o logoV thV akohV ekeinouV
but the word they heard did not profit them,

mh sugkekerasmenouV th pistei toiV akousasin
because it was not united by faith in those who heard.

C* 3 eisercomeqa gar eiV [thn] katapausin oi pisteusanteV
For we who have believed enter that rest,

kaqwV eirhken wV wmosa en th orgh mou ei eiseleusontai eiV thn katapausin mou
just as He has said, "As I swore in My wrath, they shall not enter My rest,"

kaitoi twn ergwn apo katabolhV kosmou genhqentwn
although His works were finished from the foundation of the world.

4 eirhken gar pou peri thV ebdomhV outwV
For He has said somewhere concerning the seventh day

kai katepausen o qeoV en th hmera th ebdomh apo pantwn twn ergwn autou
"And God rested on the seventh day from all His works";

5 kai en toutw palin ei eiseleusontai eiV thn katapausin mou
and again in this passage, "They shall not enter My rest."

B* 6 epei oun apoleipetai tinaV eiselqein eiV authn
Therefore, since it remains for some to enter it,

kai oi proteron euaggelisqenteV
and those who formerly had good news preached to them

ouk eishlqon di apeiqeian  failed to enter because of disobedience,

A* 7 palin tina orizei hmeran shmeron
He again fixes a certain day, "Today,"

en dauid legwn meta tosouton cronon kaqwV proeirhtai
saying through David after so long a time just as has been said before,

shmeron ean thV fwnhV autou akoushte mh sklhrunhte taV kardiaV umwn
"Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts."

Note: Verses 1-7 are also in the next chiasm.
