Wether he wrestles as Mick Foley;Cactus Jack,Dude Love or Mankind the man is amazing.No matter what he calls himself,he still is god.He gives it all and takes bumps all the time that can end his career.Here`s my tribute....
Mick Foley Was born on June 7,1965 and made his prodebut in 83 and was trained by Dominic Denucci.His first name was Cactus Jack Manson (taken from Charlie,not Marilyn) In August 88 he joined Robert Fuller`s studstable in CWA and two months later he and Gary Young won a tournament to become new tagchamps.Robert Fuller and Jimmy Golden turned on Foley and defeated Foley and Young on November 7,thirteen days later they also lost a losers-leaves-town match.Foley moved to World Class and became twotime tagchamp with Zodiac II.After a brief stint in WCW he went for a while to UWF and it was there he recieved his cultstatus.He feuded with Sunny Beach,Don Muraco and Brian Blair.
Feuds
When Foley feuds with a wresler it`s bound to last a long time and be very,very bloody.Some of his memorable feuds have been with:
Eddie Gilbert (RIP):One night they wrestled in three different stipulationmatches.Quote from Mick "Gilbert is just as sick as I am" This feud was crazy and bloody-very good.
Abdullah the Butcher:In the early 90:s Foley and Kevin Sullivan wrestled a series of bouts against Abby and Norman.Abby and Cactus also had a falling out when Foley accidently pulled a switch that electrified Abby during The Chamber of Horrors match at Halloween Havoc 91.The two has also had many,many wild matches in the indys.
Terry Funk:They have feuded in ECW ,WWF and Japan.They wrestled eachother in the final of "IWA king of deathmatches tournament" in Japan (read more about it and the Funk-Foley rivalry in the tribute to Terry Funk) Foley won that one.On Wrestlemania #14 Foley and Funk defeated The New Age Outlaws to become WWF tagchamps in the first ever "dumbster match" but they lost em the night after in a steelcage match back to NAO.One day Foley are friends,the next day they are tryin to kill eachother...To sum it up-Foley and Funk has always had a weird relationchip.
Sabu:Foley and Sabu wrestled a lot of violent battles in 95-96,Foley said this about these matches "and I thought I was deranged" They wrestled both in the indys and ECW-a lot of great matches between the two most reckless and daring wrestlers in the world today.
Kevin Sullivan:When Foley came to WCW in 91,he found a friend in Sullivan.But Mick has said "that he never should had trusted him and that he hated him"At Slamboree 94 they defeated The Nasty Boys for the Worldtagbelts,they held em two months and later Sullivan beat Foley in a "loser-leaves-WCW" bout.
Vader:It was against Vader that Foley tore his ear off.On a regular houseshow in Germany.By this feud Foley was the fan favorite and Vader the Worldchamp.Vader almost paralyzed Foley when he powerbombed him on the concrete floor in April 93.At Halloween Havoc 93 they wrestled a Texas death match,Vader won after Harley Race had stunned Cactus with a cattleprod.
More about the ear incident
March 16, 1994: Munich, Germany. In a match against the WCW champ, Big Van Vader, Mick gets his head tied up between the top and middle ring ropes. Accidentally, Mick slipped out of the ropes. The tension in the tightened ring ropes was enough to tear his right ear completely off and badly tear his left ear. Part of the right ear was iced and saved. The left required 12 stitches. He continued the match for two more minutes before the planned ending (he lost by pinfall). Vader punched Foley many times in the side of his head, until his ear just fell off. The referee picked the ear up and gave it to a ring attendant. Foley was in good spirits afterwards with little damage to his hearing and some trouble with his balance. Mick returned to the ring April 17, 1994. Reports were that Foley was planning to take a few months time off to have reconstructive surgery on the ear, but it never happened. To date, he has shown no hearing problems or other ill effects. In an ECW interview, Mick said he woke up in a hospital bed in Munich, German and saw his severed ear laying in a trashcan, while a nurse said "Is this a joke?" Sorry, it really happened. The entire match was recorded via camcorder.

Some memorable matches
King of the ring 98:Hell in a cell,Mankind vs The Undertaker….I guess you have seen it.I have watched ot over and over again and I cant believe that the fans are cheering The Undertaker.I mean Foley did takes bumps that could have ended his career(and life) and the fans still cheers The Taker.After he was throwed of the cage and got up,did he get the cheers that he deserved? No.After the match when Terry Funk helped him out after a outstanding match where he had put his career and life on the line,did he get a standing ovation? No,it sounded like five or six people clapped their hands-discusting.
Other memorable matches:The IWA king of death matches:As I already has mentioned Mick won the tournament by defeating Funk in the final but before that he also beat Nakami and Terry Gordy.Against Gordy he was stomped in the head so his face got tattoed with thumbtacks.He has thumbtacks in his shoulders,face and back.Get a copy of it!
Spring Stampede 94:Teamed with Maxx Payne and faced The Nasty Boys in a Chicago streetfight (this was in WCW,keep that in mind) Payne and Foley lost when Sags threw Foley to the concrete floor and smacked him right in the mug with a snowshowel.This is still is the best ppv in WCW history.
Slamboree 94: Foley and Sullivan defeats The Nasty to become new tagteamchamps,they got a bit of help from former Philadelphia Flyers player "The broadstreet bully" Dave Schultz (he punched Sags and counted very,very fast when Mick covered him).Foley`s first(and only) title in WCW-it was great to see.
November to Remember 95:Foley didnt bleed in this match(sensation) he and Raven lost to Terry Funk and Tommy Dreamer.Foley mocks WCW by first wearing a Dungeon of Doom t-shirt and then a t-shirt with Bishoffs face and on the back it said "forgive me uncle Eric" Some weapons that were used in this match were:chairs,a VCR,a stop sign,a snowshowel etc.A really good ppv over all.
Mick Foley- Worldchampion
On January 4, 1999 Foley defeated The Rock to become WWFchamp,that time he got help from DX and Stone Cold.
He lost it back to The Rock at Royal Rumble January 25
On Heat,Januari 31,they met again .Here`s what happened on Heat:Mankind's leather mask was padded inside for protection. Understandable after the beating he took at the Royal Rumble. Early control by Mankind is nullified when Rock takes the match outside the ring and mayhem insues. The empty arena allows us to here the verbal exchanges between the two wrestlers. Hilarious, especially on the Rocks part. Some of the more intense action takes place in a kitchen, where Rock tosses "Socko" into an oven and attempts to burn Mankind. Words could never do this match justice. When it is all said and done, no part of the arena is left unturned. Kitchens, offices, hallways, you name it!!! Ultimately, Mankind uses a forklift to lower a pallet full of beer kegs onto Rock and the referee gives the three count. Mankind is the WWF World champ for the second time.
On February 15 on RAW he lost to Rocky Maivia again in a laddermatch,with help from Paul Wight (Giant in WCW) This feud is not over....
