Song written for the Brigade by NNN LCiam

One Year

Words by LCiam ( and Music by Ed Robertson)
(To the tune of "One Week"in case you haven't guessed! :)

It's been one year since Boo stormed GH
Brought us together to fight for Liz & Lucky.
Three months since he left the show
And we're stronger than ever, sticking together.
One month since the fan club lunch,
We realized it's all our fault, that Liz is mourning
Saturday we will party down,
'cause it is one day before the Brigade's Anniversary!

Started on the ABC boards,
As we started bonding
About our love for Liz & Lucky
Boo summoned all, gave the call, although we started really small,
But then we grew by leaps and bounds, soon!
Hot is our Lucky when he busts rhymes
Sang like Leann Rimes
'Cause JJ's all about values
We waited for the first kiss
He gave us "Elizabeth"
And then we got it at the boxcar
We drove a car so very far
From the motorcade like a star
At SSW he said, "Thank you for the flowers!"
Had to see the show, their love would grow
The board discussions really flowed
We sent them brownies when they won awards.

How can we help it if we think L & L's the best?
Trying hard not to show our obsession
We're the kind who watch our tapes more than the rest
Can't understand what I mean?
Well, Brigaders do!
I have a tendency to read the boards to get through work
We have a history of supporting each other!

It's been one year since the Brigade was formed
We found each other to obsess on Liz & Lucky.
Each week Boo sends newsletters,
Sent wreaths for Christmas and got a special picture
One month since the big soiree,
We realized how far we've come, got Boo to thank for it!
Saturday we will party down,
'cause it is one day before the Brigade's Anniversary!

Searchin' for fun stuff in Kris' big old desk,
Jess is counting down 'til the clock stops tickin'
Waiting patiently for a montage, we counted kisses
I hope "I love you" comes in this one!
Like Dave Letterman we made top ten lists,
We cooked with Keuken,
Like cheese fries, guaranteed to satisfy
Went to the Emmys in a limo!
Saw the win by Jono
Not to mention Susan Lucci
I've never joined a better club
Love having ribs with my Brigader buds, and seeing
JJ movies with you!
Gotta get in tune with trivia
Cause that Frances knows her stuff
Not to mention has the shirt he wore

How can I help it if I think Brigaders are the best?
Trying hard not to smile at Claire's updates
I'm the kind of gal who loves those reunion chats
Can't understand what I mean? Come on Wednesday!
I'm very thankful that I'm back with volunteering,
Can't wait for Becky's prize to arrive.

It's been one year since we charged ABC
Formed our regiments and posted every little thought!
Three months since the Lucky Charms
It seems TPTB just did just what we hoped they were gonna do
Three weeks until SSW,
We realize we'll have 40 BRIGADERS IN ONE ROOM!
Yesterday I just smiled a lot
Cause I just can't believe the year we've had, lately.
I just can't believe the year we've had, lately.
I just can't believe the year we've had, lately.
"The best, the best there is" are the Brigaders!

Songs by dentonj

*slinking onto the stage, hanging head*

Ahem.

*tapping on mic*

Has it really been three weeks since I was last here?

*crickets chirp*

Well . . . I, uh, found my Ricky Martin song, um, if anyone cares . . . O.K.?

*silence*

Ahem. *voice cracking* Luckettes? Are you ready? *music begins* Oooooh, I'm feelin' it now . . . *cheering up* I'm ready to live la vida Lucky! *bad coochie-coochie Charo dancing as music continues* Here's a song to remember our poor Lucky, who's stuck in a cell somewhere . . . I'd like to stick him in - Oh! The song!

Sur-prise incarceration

No way to make a call

Not dead, just on vacation,

But Faison's fooled them all . . .

*freestyle Muppet dancing happening*

-----

He lost his concentration

When he saw the tape of Liz

No pain like the frustration

That she won't know where he is

-----

He's makin' like MacGyver

Cowboy knows to use his head

*shushing Mindi*

He'd risk his life to find her

But Herr Krieg already said

If he tries it, she'll be dead!

-----

(chorus)

Snatched . . .by . . . for-eign dirt

Livin' la vida Lucky!

Stuck . . . in . . . flan-nel shirts

Livin' la vida Lucky!

-----

Beamed up like some Star Trekker

To a cold and steely cell

Designed by Black and Decker

He's in art deco Hell

-----

His teenage hormones ragin'

With a fire for Liz to stoke

And he's already agin'

From ol' Faison's cigar smoke . . .

Master Spencer just might choke . . .

-----

Snatched . . . by . . . for-eign dirt

Livin' la vida Lucky!

Stuck . . . in . . . flan-nel shirts

Livin' la vida Lucky!

Loved . . . one's . . . think he's toast

And the situation is sucky

He . . . wants . . . free-dom most

Livin' la vida Lucky!

Livin' la vida Luckeeeeeeee

Livin' la vida Lucky!

Come on!

Gotta gotta gotta la vida Lucky

Gotta gotta gotta la VI'!

*huffing and puffing* Whew! That's quite a workout! No wonder Ricky looks so good! *passing wet towels to the Luckettes* Here, girls. Try to cool off. Thanks again for the help!

ONE WEEK

It's been one week since we saw Lucky / In the cabin with Dad, who's goin' crazy

Five days since they looked to see / it's ol' Laura who's whinin' Come back and see me.

Three days since his small bedroom / Liz came back to paint his walls / not a moment too soon.

Yesterday was a slow Sunday / and it'll still be two days 'til they say, "Complete me".

Hold me back and hear my heart sink / As they make you stop think / You think you're waiting
for Armpit Man

He summons Liz to his crib / Although they like the picnic biz / They like the 'partment 'cause
they don't get bothered by her Gram

Hot like a heater when he sings lines / Big like Leann Rimes / because he's all about values

J. Morgan used to call hits / But Robin said, "Quit" / And now his motorcycles must do

Gonna go to kiss / and then they miss / and now I'm really gettin' pi**ed

We want the smoochin' but the PTB don't waiver.

Gotta see the show / 'cause then you'll know / that L & L are gonna grow

and soon enough they're gonna give us stuff to savor.

How can I help it if I think they're perfect when they're on?

Tryin' hard not to smile, but I'm too gone.

I'm the kind of girl who crys at a montage scene.

Can't understand why I am?

Then you're too mean.

I have a tendency to wear my heart on my sleeve

I have fantasy of Lucky with no shirt . . .

*sitting on a bar stool and cradling a guitar on the stage of a small club, the original Luckettes (galor, gator, jnlemom, Lt.Kris, Mindi, and rockybeach) standing quietly in the background*

*quietly and humbly* Thanks for coming out tonight, everybody.
It's been a while. Nice to be back.
*waiting for applause to stop*
Thanks. Thanks a lot.

I'm going to start out tonight with a tribute to Jonathan. It's been a tough few weeks for all of us, I know, and I was inspired to write this song to let Jonathan know that we stand behind him all the way. My thanks and apologies to James Taylor, because I borrowed from his song "You've Got a Friend." * looking back at the Luckettes* You guys ready? * clearing throat* Here we go.

"You've Got a Friend."

*softly strumming guitar *
*singing *

When a croooowd is huddled at the staaaage to see your band,
And there's no, oooh, there's no escape in siiiight . . .
Peel your eyes and look for me, and knooow I will be there
To pummel dooown even the girls who biiiite . . .

(chorus)
Have a ball with your fame
'Cause you know wherever I am
I'll come runnin'
To see you again
Movies, soap, sitcom or mall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah
You've got a fan

If a guy cajoles you into playing parts for clowns,
And some ol' coarse critics declare they blow,
Keep you head together and call my name outloud,
And soon I'll have mobs shouting out for more . . .

*Luckettes harmonizing here*
Have a ball with your fame
(with your fame)
'Cause you know wherever I am
I'll come runnin'
To see you again
Movies, soap, sitcom or mall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah . . .

Hey, ain't it good to know that you've got a fan
When loyalty's bought and sold?
They'll hire you . . . then they'll fire you
They'll take your soul if you let them
Oh, no, but don't you let them . . .

Have a ball with your fame
'Cause you know wherever I am
I'll come runnin'
To see you again
Yeah, JJ, don't you know now
Movies, soap, sitcom or mall
Say, now, all you got to do is call
And I'll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah
You've got a fan
You've got a fan
Ain't it good to know you've got a fan?

*strumming last notes on guitar *

Thank you. Thank you. *wiping away a tear * That was for you, JJ.

*composing myself * All right. It's time to get down to business. *upbeat music begins ("You're the One That I Want"), and Luckettes begin to dance * This is a little number inspired by one of my favorite movies, "Grease". *bopping with the music * It's a message for Bozo. That's Bob Guza for anyone who doesn't know. It's time to let T-P-T-B that we're not keeping anything on the Q-T! *turning to Luckettes, who have put on their shades and started snapping * Let's do it, girls!!

"You're the One That I Want"

I got hiiiiiiiives!!!
There multiplyin'!
And I'm looooosing control
'Cause the story you're supplyin' . . .
It's so terrifyin'!
terrifyin', terrifyin', terrifyin'

You better shape up!
We need Jonathan!
And our heart is set on sooooon!
You better shape up!
You better understand . . .
To our two you must be true
Nothin' else, nothin' else for you to do

He's the one that we want
He is . . . the one we want
Oo! Oo! Oo!
Lucky!
The one that we want
He is . . . the one we want
Oo! Oo! Oo!
The one we neeeeeed
Oh, yes indeeeeed . . .

If Liz feeeeels some affection
For a guuuuuuy any day
Send him iiii-iin a new direction . . .
Maaaake him gay . . .

You better shape up!
'Cause she need her man!
She needs her man!
He can keep her satisfied!
You better shape up!
You better understand . . .
We know Lucky didn't die
And we know, only JJ plays the guy

He's the one that we want
He is . . . the one we want
Oo! Oo! Oo!
Lucky!
The one that we want
He is . . . the one we want
Oo! Oo! Oo!
Lucky!
The one that we want
He is . . . the one we want
Oo! Oo! Oo!
The one we neeeeeed
Oh, yes indeeeeeeed . . .

* dancing around on the stage as the music continues* Woooo! Yeah! *high-fiving the Luckettes and beaming * That was great! Thanks for coming out, everybody! We'll see you tomorrow night! Peace!

*dancing off the stage *

The story of the fire and the PCPD's inability to find a culprit reminded me of another tragedy: the crashing of the S.S. Minnow onto a deserted isle. Gilligan and the others were presumed dead, just as Lucky is. So here is my send-up of Gilligan's theme song. Luckettes? You ready?

*Luckettes join me on stage, each wearing a firefighter's uniform and a Gilligan hat*

Gilligan's Theme

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale
A tale of a deadly wick
That started up a massive fire
With one flick of a Bic

(key change)

The dead was mighty Spencer man,
His fam'ly mourned and wailed,
So officers set out that day
Just to see Sonny jailed
To see Sonny jailed

(key change)

No match!
No gas!
No clue in sight!
Not a bit of help from V.
Like Larry, Moe, and Curly,
As stupid as men can be . . .

(key change)

Their suspect list was growing short,
'Cause they never even tried
A Cassadiiiine . . .
Her minions, too,
A Quartermaine . . .
Now "Daddy,"
Or Faaaiiiison
He's the one duped every cop
Of the PCPD!!!!

That's all for tonight, Brigaders! Thanks for stopping by!

Montage song
(to the tune of song from the musical, Cats)

*wearing stupid cat nose and whiskers. That's as far as dentonj is going*

They were beautiful theeeeeen . . .

Lucky, the Oldest Spencer
(to the tune of Rudolf, the Red-Nosed Reindeer)

Lucky the oldest Spencer
Had a year of many woes
And if you ever saw him
You would say he needs new clothes
All of the other Spencers
used to lie and play word games
They never let poor Lucky
know his dad was mean to dames
Then one foggy Port Charles eve
Prince Nik came to say
Lucky with your mind so bright
Won't you try to see the light?
Then how Liz Webber loved him
As she shouted out with glee
Lucky, the oldest Spencer
You're the best thing that ever happened to meeeee!

It Came Upon a Wednesday Dear
(to the tune of It Came Upon A Midnight Clear)

It came upon a Wednesday dear . . .
That glorious hump day of old . . .
with Lucky leading Liz's way . . .
to dinner plans still untold.
The room was filled with the candlelight . . .
and Lucky's love for his girl . . .
Sweet Liz took in what her eyes beheld . . .
the most special place in the world . . .
HE OOOORdered ribs and the cheese fries too . . .
Though we would have liked cheese and rice . . .
And when he asked her to be his girl . . .
She didn't have to think twice . . .

O, Happy Night
(to the tune of O, Happy Night)

O happy niiiiiight . . .
Brigader's eyes are shiiiiiining
There's no more fright
That we'll all go berserk
Long lay the booooards
In angst and endless whiiiining
'Til someone cheered
That our boy won't leave woooork
A thrill of hope, the weary board rejoices
For all our sakes, our duo won't be torn . . .
*big breath*
CAAAAAAALLLLL PTBeeeeeeeeee
And RAAAAAAIIIIISE Brigader VOOOOI-CES
TONIIIIGHT we SHIIIINE
Toooonight, we cease to mourn
ToNIIIIIIIIGHT we SHIIIIIIIIIIIINE tooooonight . . .
Tonight we shiiiiine

Lucky and Liz (Ode to Six Kisses)
(to the tune of Silent Night)

Lucky and Liz
Brigaders watch
See them hug
See them kiss
By the boxcar and in Lucky's room
At Liz's door and in the park, too
We now have six kisses
We now have six kisses

We Want A Window Kiss
(to the tune of Away in the Manger)

Lucky and Elizabeth
Our favorite couple
We all want more kisses
Between this duo
One at a window
To Liz's bedroom
It is our Christmas wish
For this kind of kiss

We have watched since TK1
And through TK6
We just can't get enough
Of Lucky and Liz
Please can we see them
In a window kiss
Of all of our wishes
We wish for that kiss

Oh, Lucky and Elizabeth
(to the tune of Oh, Little Town of Bethlehem

Oh, Lucky and Elizabeth
We love your innocence
You slowly took a tragedy
And turned it into love
Lucky fell for Elizabeth
While helping her to heal
And now we are all waiting for
Them to say I love you

Oh, Lucky Please Kiss Elizabeth
(to the tune of I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus)

Oh, Lucky please kiss Elizabeth
Underneath the mistletoe mentioned
You said you would hang some
Mistletoe on your ceiling
So please put some up soon
Then you and Liz can really kiss
And
All Brigaders will be so happy
To see a mistletoe kiss occur
Oh
Can't you imagine the joy
If only our Lucky would
Decorate soon and kiss Liz tonight

Joy on Monday (Ode to TK7)
(to the tune of Joy to the World)

Joy on Monday
L&L kiss
Without interruption
Gram may have caught them
In their liplock
But, we got our little kiss
Which becomes number seven
We now have
We now have
TK7

He Said Merry Christmas Baby
(to the tune of Deck the Halls)

He said Merry Christmas Baby
Fa la la la la la la la la
Liz the season to be Lucky
Fa la la la la la la la la
We're all waiting for those three words
Fa la la la la la la la la
L&L will say I Love You
Fa la la la la la la la la

Songs by galor

This Kiss
(galor's rewrite)

(galor changed a few lines of the song This Kiss to fit our own L&L)

When Lizzie said to Lucky
How does love get so off course
All I wanted was a white Knight
With a good heart, soft touch, fast horse
Ride me off into a sunset
Baby, I'm forever yours.....
It's the way you love me
It's a feeling like this
It's centrifugal motion
It's perpetual bliss
It's that pivotal moment
It's (aaaah) subliminal
This kiss, this kiss...unstoppable
This kiss, this kiss...unsinkable
This kiss, this kiss...it's criminal
It's the way you love me baby
It's the way you love me darlin'
~*~That Kiss S*M*A*C*K ~*~

Lucky Spencer
(to the tune of Frosty, the Snowman)

Luck-y Spencer
Is a mighty FINE Young man
with his sweet smile
and singing voice
it makes our knees go weak!

Luck-y Spencer
He makes us smile with glee
with just one look
at his Lips, and Face
It makes our heartbeat race!

Luck-y Spencer
we love to see his scenes
With his true love
Eliz-a-beth
And "Pray" we'll see a Kiss!

A Song By Toukie
(sung to the Tune of The Star Spangled Banner)

Oh Lucky can you see
How much we all love thee
We all think you're sexy
And you're smile's all we can see

Elizabeth's your girl
You take good care of her
Making us wish to be
In your arms and kissing thee

Always in love with Thee
We fight TPTB
To see on TV
More of Liz and Lucky

Oh say does these stars always
Shine on our lives
The brigade will always be
There for Liz and Lucky

If you have a song or two about L&L or GH that you would like to submit,

Please send them to Gator618
