Last Will and Testament of George Herbert Ring
and Codicil
I, George H. Ring, of Baltimore County, State of Maryland, being of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, and capable of making a valid deed and contract, do make, publish and declare this as and for my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking any and all Wills and Codicils heretofore made by me.
(First:)I direct my executor to pay all my just debts, taxes, expenses of my last illness, my burial expenses, including the costs of a suitable burial lot and perpetual care threrof, and costs of the erection of a suitable marker and/or monument (or such of these as have not otherwise been provided for during my lifetime) ; and the amount to be expended for such burial expenses shall be in the sole discretion of my Executor free of any limitation or restriction imposed by law and without application to the Orphans' Court of Baltimore County or any Court for power to do the same.
(Second:) All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate and property of whatsoever kind, nature and description and wheresoever the same may be situate, whether real, mixed or personal, which I may own or be entitled to at the time of my death or over which I may have power of testamentary disposition, I give, devise and bequeath, absolutely and in fee simple, unto my five children, Denise D. Ring, Craig G. Ring, Brian K. Ring, Robin J. Ring, and Michele D. Ring, in equal shares, share and share alike. Should any of my children as aforesaid predecease me, then I direct that the share of the one or ones so dying shall be divided equally between the survivor or survivors of them.
(Third:) I appoint Denise D. Ring to be the executor of this, my Last Will and Testament.
(Fourth:) My Executor shall have the following powers, in addition to those rights and powers given to fiduciaries by law and given elsewhere in this Will, to be excerised in her discretion without Court Order:
(a.) To retain any property in my estate;
(b.) To sell any real or personal property in my estate, for cash or on credit at public or private sale or exchange any such property, the time, the terms and conditions of such sale to be determined by my Executor;
(c.) To collect, pay, contest, compromise or abandon claims of or against my estate; and to execute contracts, conveyances and other instruments, including instruments containing covenants and warranties binding upon and creating a charge against my estate, and containing provisions excluding personal liability;
(d) To keep any property in the name of a nominee with or without disclosure of any fiduciary relationship;
(e) To enter into any transaction authorized by this article with trustees or legal representatives of any other trust or estate which any beneficiary hereunder has any beneficial interest, even though any such trustee or legal representive is also an Executor hereunder;
(f) To make any distribution or division of my estate in cash or in kind or both, and to allot different kinds of disproportionate shares of property or undivided interest in property among the beneficiaries, and to dtermine the value of any such property.
(Fifth:) As used herein, the word "Executor" and "children" shall include feminine as well as the masculine and the neuter, and the plural as well as well the singular.
(Sixth:) I request that no Executrix, Executor or Guardian hereunder be required to give bond or security, and that if, notwithstanding this request, any bond is required by any law, statute or rule of court, no sureties be required thereon.

SIGNED, SEALED, PUBLISHED AND DECLARED by the above named Testator, as and for his Last Will and Testament, which consists of three (3) pages, in the presence of us, who, at his request, in his presence and in the presence of each other, believing him to be of sound mind, memory and understanding, hereunto subscribe our names as witnesses the day and year last above written.
Codicil of George Herbert Ring
I, George H. Ring, of Baltimore County, State of Maryland, being of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, do make, publish and declare this as and for the First Codicil to my Last Will and Testament dated January 8, 1991.
First: I hereby amend the provisions of Item Second of my Last Will and Testament as follows:
Second: All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate and property of whatsoever kind, nature and description and wheresoever the same may be situate, whether real, mixed or personal, which I may own or be entitled to at the time of my death or over which I may have power of testamentary disposition, I give, devise and bequeath, absolutely and in fee simple, unto my four children, Denise D. Ring, Brian K. Ring, Robin J. Ring, and Michele D. Ring, in equal shares, share and share alike. Should any of my children as aforesaid predecease me, then I direct that the share of the one or ones so dying shall be divided equally between the survivor or survivors of them.
Second: In all other respects, I hereby ratify and confirm my said Last Will and Testament.
