Last Will and Testament of John Wilbur Ring

          I, John W. Ring, of Danville, Virginia, being of sound and disposing mind and memory do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking any and all Wills heretofore made by me.
     (Item I) I direct that all my just debts, funeral and burial expenses, if any, and costs of administration be paid as soon as practicable after my death.
     (Item II) I direct my Executor hereinafter named, to pay out of my estate all inheritance, legacy or estate taxes on my estate, or levied by reason of my death, including those taxes levied on proceeds of life insurance policies, whether or not the property, transfer, or proceeds with respect to which said taxes are levied as a part of my estate at my death, and further direct that my Executor not require any beneficiary of my estate or of my insurance policies to reimburse the estate for taxes so paid, nor deduct the same from the share of any beneficiary.
     (Item III) I devise and bequeath my eyes to the Host Lions Club of Danvillle, Virginia. If any written authorization is needed, I direct my Executor to sigh this authorization for me. I devise and bequeath the remainder of my body to the Medical School at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, North Carolina. If any written authorization is needed, I direct my executor to sign this authorization for me.
     (Item IV) I direct my Executor to sell and convey my home, presently located on Pineview Drive, Danville, Virginia, to Lester Budd Williams for Eight Thousand and XX/100- - - - Dollars ($8,000.00) or one half of the appraised value, which ever is less, to be paid Eight Hundred and XX/100 - - - - Dollars ($800.00) per year, with no interest due or payable. My Executor shall determine the appraised value in any method he desires, in his sole discretion. Should Lester Budd Williams predecease me, then my home shall be covered by the residuary clause in this my Last Will and Testament.
     (Item V) I hereby give, devise, and bequeath Tract A, fronting 180 feet on Riverside Drive and running back to approximately the same frontage on Old Riverside Drive, Danville, Virginia, to Cleo C. Griffith, in fee simple absolute. Tract A is shown on a map made for John W. Ring, dated May 24, 1968, made by Shanks and Wilmarth, Surveyors.
     (Item VI) If the following amounts are available from my estate, I direct my Executor to pay the following sums annually for a period of ten years to the following friends who have all worked for me or helped me in many ways.



     (Item VII) My personal effects such as my stereo equipment, my coin collection, and the other furniture in my home, I give and bequeath to Denise D. Ring, if living at my death. If Denise D. Ring predeceases me, these items pass under the residuary clause of this my Last Will and Testament.
     (Item VIII) The remainder of my estate, whether real estate or personal property, and whatsoever situate, I give, devise, and bequeath in fee simple absolute, to Denise D. Ring.
     (Item IX) I hereby nominate and appoint my good friend and attorney, Allan Garrett, Executor of this my Last Will and Testament and direct that no surety be required on his bond as Executor. Should he predecease me, then I nominate and appoint Joe Garrett, Executor of this my Last Will and Testament. My Executor is hereby directed to deed and convey Tract B on Riverside Drive, Danville, Virginia, to Elmo Franklin Bridges when the consideration is fully paid. Should it be necessary to invade the corpus of my estate to carry out the intent of this Will, my Executor is hereby authorized to do so, in his sole judgement and discretion and is further authorized to do any and all things necessary to invade the corpus such as selling and conveying personal property or real estate, either by public or private sale, in his sole discretion. My Executor is specifically authorized to convey by Bill of Sale or Deed any part of my estate necessary to carry out my directions.

      GIVEN under my hand and seal this 22nd day of August, 1995.

     Signed, sealed, published and declared for and as his Last Will and Testament, by the Testator, in our presence, we all being present at the same time, and we, in his presence, and at his request and in the presence of eachother, have subscribed our names as attesting witnesses, whereof, all on the 22nd day of August, 1995.
