Life is sweet
They´re quite a strange bunch actually, their first single "Petrol Skin" was released in 1992 and was a proper Shoegazing-fest, all the harmonies and "aaahhhh aaaahhhh"s were there. Then they disappeared for a while only to return in 1996 with their beautiful self-titled debut album, a truly great record.
Last year they released "Only Forever" which saw them expanding their sound and which was strangely missing from the Top Albums Of The Year votes although it definitely deserved to be in there. Great band.

Or maybe not. Judging by Puressence´s standards life is pretty bleak. Or something. Their music is not really the happiest there is, but it´s still the best Angst-Rock this side of Radiohead.
