Song of the week 12/99
Slowdiveīs "Souvlaki Space Station"! Pretty weird, the songs donīt really have that much in common, but they seem to be related, like some sort of cousins. Anyway "SSS" is a great, pretty trancey sort of song, with a great bassline and some lovely singing from Rachel (ahhhhh, Rachel ;) ). Itīs probably the highlight of Souvlaki, although the whole album is really good as well. Weird how some songs remind you of others which donīt really sound like them, hmmmmmmm ;)
The song I have chosen this week came to my mind when I listened to Blurīs "Battle" off the new album. It reminded me of some some other track, but I didnīt really know, so I went through a few CDs and suddenly I knew which one it was.
