Song of the week 14/99
The middle eight is especially good with a really nice guitar solo. The only thing that lets the song down really are the lyrics, relying too much on the feel-real-deal ryhming formula: "How does it feel to feel, I still feel so real .. etc. etc. etc."
Oh well, guess itīs not only them, most of the Shoegazing bunch were not exactly great lyricists.......
This weeks song is "Sandblasted" by Swervedriver, a song that is typical for their approach to songwriting, weird melodies and rythm changes throughout, but very poppy at the same time. It was a single off their first album "Raise".
