Song of the week 15/99
It starts off with this strange piano line and then suddenly the four horsemen of the apocalypse jump out of your speakers .... ummmm, yeah. Well, itīs quite an intro and the rest of the song can keep up with the franting opening. The song is carried throughout by the piano line and has a very weird rythm (oi, music scientists, on the case, tell me what it is, 7/8???) I havenīt got a clue what Terry Bickers is on about, but I doubt he himself knew it at the time, hee hee hee. I remember seeing them at Reading in 93 and this song was definitely the highlight of a gig that definitely has to go down in my top 10 of best gigs ever ...... hey, thereīs an idea for a new page! ;)
This week weīll go a bit prog rock. The song I want to tell you a bit about is "Hangnail" by Levitation. Itīs off their album "Need for not" and itīs bloody weird.
