Song of the week 9/99
Itīs a pretty weird song cos itīs not got the usual verse-chorus-verse structure, it doesnīt have a chorus really, but itīs better than it sounds. It was definitely the highlight of their live gigs, cos it was a proper song for moshing. It has some pretty weird lyrics as well "Sitting in the corner, smoking a half-drunk cigarette, sitting in the corner, on a half-imagined statuette" hmmmmmmmm...... ;-)
This weekīs song is "Sistine Chapel Ceiling" by Adorable. Itīs off their first album "Against Perfection" and a pretty rocky and fast track for a Shoegazing band. It starts off with a great bass part which has recently been ripped off by Idlewild in "When I argue I see shapes".
