UNHEARD CRIES
The woman next door is crying,
Althought she never says a word:
She's locked up in the bathroom,
Where her cries will go un-heard:

Tomorrow he'll let her out
Once he remembers what took place
He was drunk and didn't mean to,
But left the proof upon her face:

She swares one day she'll leave him
but he will kill her if she tries:
Together until, death do them part,
A life of un-heard cries:

One night the pain was hard to take,
The beating was so severe:
She knew her screams were all in vain,
For no one else could hear:

The bodies were found in the bedroom
The gun found in her hand,
The way the house was in a mess
They know this wasn't planed:

Domestic violence happens every day,
Someone lives and someone dies:
Two lives were taken on that day,
Another victim of un-heard cries:






WHEN YOUR NOT BUSY

Daddy I know that your sleeping,
But I've been trying to tell you all day:
Daddy I know that your busy,
But you Just keep saying "go play":

I'll whisper so that I don't wake you,
I'll be really quiet you'll see:
but Daddy I just want to hug you,
And I wish you had time to hug me:

Lately you've been busy working,
You don't have any time now to play:
Daddy I wish you'ed tell working,
That I wish he'd just go away:

One day when your not really busy,
Or so tired from all that you do:
When your awake and have time to listen,
I just want to say," I LOVE YOU":



DID YOU HUG YOUR KIDS TODAY?

He came to me, in my dreams,
I'ed close my eyes and he was there:
He'd kiss me and he'd hold me close,
And then he'd stroke my hair:

He treated me like I was queen
He hated to see me cry:
He made a promise I know he'll keep,
He'll never say good-by:

I know he loves me and I do him,
And I worship being near,
He's always there when I need him most,
He takes away my fear:

God made him a reality,
And then gave me him to keep:
So I maried him and love him so,
And this love it grows so deep:

Hoghedd you made my dreams come true,
when you made me your wife:
I love you more then words can say,
I Love you with my life:

Your everything I'll ever need,
Your my life, my sole, my heart:
I will always love you so,
Even after death do we part:

UNTIL THE GRASS STOPS GROWING

Daddy will you still love me,
Even if I'm bad again:
Until the grass stops growing sweetheart,
I'll love you until then:


What if I get really big,
And then I'm mean to you:
Until the grass stops growing sweetheart,
No matter what you do:


We use to do this all the time,
Just my dad and me:
I think about him everyday,
And how it use to be:


I wish my kids had known him,
But he was gone before they came:
But I tell the kids about him,
And the grass stops growing game:


And like my father I tell my kids,
Over and Over again:
Only until the grass stops growing,
I'll love them until then:




I WROTE THIS FOR MY MOTHER WHEN SHE WAS IN THE 
HOSPITAL AFTER A MAJOR HEART ATTACK AND MY SON WAS IN 
THE HOSPITAL ALSO, SO FAR AWAY AND COULDN'T BE THERE 
SO I MADE A CARD AND WROTE THIS POEM.....


MAMA

Mama I am always with you, even though we're far 
apart, My thoughts are with you always, and your 
always in my heart:

Mama I know your hurting, and I wish i could be 
there, Just to say I love you, and show you that I 
care:

Just to hug you tightly and be there by your side, To
be a shoulder you would need, every time you've 
cried;

To tell you it will be alright, to dont worrie its 
okay, And to take the pain your feeling and make it 
go away:

To be a sponge for every tear to also be a friend, to
take the pain your feeling, and help your heart to 
mend:
