Shadowed
A fiery ambience beckons from afar
Whispering my name in dreams
I try to embrace it as the moon would a star
But this vision can't be what it seems
I lost this emotion somewhere long ago
I say as I tell myself lies
Then I look up and, without warning, I know
Never lost it but left in her eyes
So forth from the shadows I step to the light
Shielding my eyes from the glow
There's a fear grown inside me which seems so right
A kiss would say all I need know
But back to the shadows I run for awhile
Until deeper these feelings can stir
Then, when my heart fights off it's denial
Wrapped in my arms will be her
