Okay, I'll just use the quotation in the beginning of the serie to introduce to you my favorite anime, Fushigi Yuugi -"This is the story of a girl[Miaka] who gathered the Seven Seishi[warrior with special power and is identified by the character on their body] of Suzaku, and acquired the power to make every wish come true. The story itself is an incantation. Whoever finishes the book shall receive this power. As soon as the page is turned, the story will become the truth and begin..."

Ashitare is a Seiryuu seishi, and a circus freak coz he is really part wolf. He is kind of creepy since he eats human flesh. Ashitare was later killed by Nakago because he was no longer useful to Nakago. (Sorry, no picture of Ashitare, his ugliness will ruin this beautiful page of mine.)

Okay, that basically takes care of all the main characters in the series. Of course there are many other charcters, but I'm just too lazy to put them up. Perhaps you noticed that I don't know that much about Seiryuu seishis coz I don't want to find out all the creepiness they possess.

A Basic Summary of ALL the TV serie AND OAV episodes
Miaka is a high school examinee who has voracious appetite and cares nothing else but food and Tamahome(Miaka is very much in love with Tamahome). She is the Suzaku No Miko of Konan and is loved by four seishis. Yes, FOUR men. Miaka is often annoying because she always stupidly gets herself in danger and has to make the others save her. I guess the only thing I like about Miaka is that when she has a goal, she'll definitely go for it. She is also inhumanly cheerful.
Yui is Miaka's best friend but later becomes Seiryuu No Miko of Koutu country and turn against Miaka when she thinks that Miaka has deceived her. Yui is a bitch most of the time since she also loves Tamahome and works her butt off to separate Tamahome and Miaka apart, but at the end she finaly realizes the truth and helps Miaka to summon Suzaku.
Aqua blue hair Tamahome is the a Suzaku seishi who has the character "ogre" on his forehead and special martial art power.
His main interests: loving Miaka, to protect the ones he cares(Miaka, his family and his fellow Suzaku seishis), and counting money. He ADORES money and wants to become rich.
BEAUTIFUL Hotohori is the emperor of Konan and a Suzaku seishi with the character "star" on his neck. His best skills is sword fighting. Hotohori's only fault is his narcissism, chracterizes by his most famous line,"I'm so beautiful it's scary!" Hotohori also loves Miaka and swears to always protect Miaka, even at the cost of his life. Hotohori later marries Houki and they have a son named Boushin. Unfortunetly, Hotohori really lost his life when he battles with Nakago to protect Miaka's world. And Miaka never loves him back. Damn Miaka! Nuriko is the purple hair Suzaku seishi with the character "willow" on her, I mean HIS chest becauseI just realize that Nuriko is, in fact, a guy. Nuriko crossdresses as a girl(I really don't want to say that he is gay. That'll be cruel.)coz it reminds him of his little sister, who died in an accident. Despite the gender differences, he never hides his infatuation with Hotohori. Nuriko believes that his gender is not a problem. He says, "I am a man, so what? I can put aside my manhood for love." Even though Hotohori never shows any special feeling for Nuriko(Duh, Hotohori is not gay!), Nuriko still wishes all the time that he can be a woman. His special ability: Superman strength.
Chichri is the Suzaku seishi with the character "well" on his knee. Chichri is also a monk who has magical power by using spells and his staff. One of his awesome power is the ability to change his height(he can be only 2 feet tall sometimes) with his hat. Chichri is known for wearing a smiling mask and saying "no da" after his every sentence.
Soulless Nakago is the first Seiryuu seishi appears in the serie. He is the cold-hearted villain in the story. The character on his forehead is "heart lodging", ironically, his main ineterest is to manipulate people. You can argue that he is kind of handsome with his blonde hair and blue eyes, but I want to use him as a dart practice since he killed Hotohori with his chi blast. Damn, Damn Nakago!
Tasuki is the orange hair, fang teeth Suzaku seishi who has the character "wing" on his right arm. He loves to use his tessen(an iron fan) and burn stuff(sometimes it's Tamahome). My favorite quote from Tasuki-"Be good little boy, or else I'm going to fry you." He is also a hydrophobic misogynist in case you don't know. 
Mitsukake is the Suzaku seishi who has the charcter "to heal" on his palm coz he has the special ability to heal people's pain and sickness. I don't really know what else to say about him coz he's so quiet. Oh yeah, he has a cute cat named Tama and he looks really grotesque when dressed as a woman(in the OAV I).
Amibioshi is the ONLY Seiryuu seishi who is actually decent and kind. He loves peace, plays his flute really well, and he loves Miaka too. Why is that all the nice guys in the serie like Miaka? Arrgh, I'm frustrated!
Suboshi is the twin brother of Amibioshi. He uses two special spheres with spikes on them to kill his opponents. Like Hotohori swears to protect Miaka, Suboshi is always there to protect Yui no matter what because he loves her.
Chiriko is the last Suzaku seishi in the serie(each country has 7 seishis)with the character "to strectch" on his foot. He is amazingly smart, though he's only 13. He loves to study and prepare for the civil service exam. Ah, how I wish I can be 1/4 smart as Chiriko!
Soi is the only female seishi in the entire FY serie. She is good at throwing thunderbolts and creating storms. She loves Nakago very much and is, let me just say, *very intimate* with him. She actually died for Nakago. When Tasuki throws a sword at Nakago that could've killed Nakago, Soi dashes forward and the sword kills her instead. Soi is the marron hair girl you see leaning against Nakago in the picture above Nakago's summary.
Tomo is THE most perverted and disgusting being exist in the whole serie. He is the Seiryuu seishi who paints his face in indescribable twisted colors and wears the most tasteless headdress with a bunch long feathers coming out. He is gay, considering the fact he does have a thing for Nakago. And his chuckles, urgh, I can't stand his chuckles coz they give me the creeps! Tomo likes to use his clamp shell to create his illusion and fool his opponents.
Miboshi is that little monk who is about the same age as Chiriko. When he is about to die, Miboshi takes control of Chiriko and makes Chiriko killed himself. Creep!
