Headline: R.I.P. Joey Ramone, 1951-2001

4/16/01 Joey Ramone, lead singer of the Ramones, the beloved legendary band that created punk rock in the mid-70's, died yesterday at the age of 49 of cancer of the lymph nodes. He helped develop a world renound genre of music known as punk rock, writing such classics we all know and love such as "I Wanna Be Sedated", "Bliztkrieg Bop", "Rock-n-Roll High School", "Pinhead" and many many more. We hope to keep the spirit of energy and enthusiasm of Joey Ramone alive through the years. Go to the CBGB's Official Web Page for their tribute to Joey Ramone.

Headline: SOUL GAMBLERS BACK AT FULL THROTTLE!

The Soul Gamblers, last Upstairs heard, they were gone for good, right?? WRONG!! All of us Gambler Freaks couldn't take it anymore, so on August, 29 2000 the Soul Gamblers reunited for the first time in two years to play an outdoor party for Rupert and Fred of Little Gruntpack's 40th birthday in Baltimore (also celebrating that week was Sof' Serv'd and his mom.) I was an all out bash, the show rocked hard and everyone there was ready for of what the Gamblers had up their sleeves. Since then, production for their first full length "SOULED OUT!!" has gone underway. They have also played two packed shows at Roots Cafe and The 14 Karat Kabaret in Baltimore. They also have a show coming up on Friday, April 13, 2001 at the Fells Point Creative Alliance on S. Conkling St. in Baltimore. Be sure to check here or the SOUL GAMBLERS official web page for more updates.
