Searching Mattie Wilkins/Wilkens & Gus Hein/Cosper family to establish connection to earliest ancestor possible. Am told by husband that his grandmother Mattie Wilkins/Wilkens was part Indian, but he doesn't recall name of tribe. Mattie was born approx 1885-1890, married Gustav Stanislaus Hein, lived in Central Texas area, and died early 1970's. Any info you have would be appreciated.
