I am seeking information on James Wilkins b. abt 1790. Place of birth unknown, possibly NC. James died Abt. 1837 in Near Grenada, Mississippi. He was buried in the Old Middleton Cemetery. He and wife Mary Wolfe lived in Holmes Co., MS in the early 1800s. Their son, William Scrivner Fitzowens Wilkins b. abt. 1822 was married and had several children, but wife and all but one daughter, Josephine, died with malaria. What was his wife's name?
Notes for JAMES WILKINS:
Holmes Co., was established in 1833 from Yazoo Co., and there was a James Wilkins' name appearing on the 1833 and 1837 Holmes County tax list indicating that he was one of the first residents of Holmes Co., Mississippi.
