Email: asak@aol.comObadiah Wilkins of Gravesend, Long Island, NY, died 1698. Son of William Wilkins. The only child of Obadiah's that I've found was named William, also.
The next Wilkins I have is Obadiah, who baptized his 2 sons Daniel and William in the Reformed Dutch Church, Schaghticoke, Rensselaer, NY in 1784. He moved his family to Mayfield, Montgomery County (now Fulton County), NY, where they stayed up to the present.
The next Wilkins family is George W. Wilkins, born 1840, and his son George B. Wilkins, born c. 1876, died 1944. This family lived in Columbia County, NY, finally settling in Kinderhook through to the present.
I am sure these 3 lines are linked, but data is very sketchy. Is anyone studying any of these families?
