I descend through James Alexander Wilkins, b. June 1845-47 possibly in Haywood Co. NC. m Martha E. Youngblood b 1846. They were married in Sevier County, TN 3 May 1871. The marriage certificate indicates she was born in GA. This line of Wilkins resided in Sevier Co. TN and I have information on many of their descendants.

James A. Wilkins is likely the son of an Isaac Wilkins (b around 1823 in Haywood CO, NC) who is likely the son of either a David Wilkins or an Isaac Wilkins Jr.

I have some poor Xerox copies of Haywood Co. documents that name these individuals but do not clearly establish the link to James A.
