Contact: jiadams@sasktel.netJames WILKINS b.about 1847 in East Ruston, Norfolk, England. He married a Maria (last name may be BATES), and they had three children, James, Maria and John Thomas. John Thomas was born in South Shields, Durham where the family had moved to. In 1884 a widowed, James WILKINS married Mary Ann CHANDLER (nee BRACK)in South Shields. They had eight childen: Andrew, Mary Ann, Thomas, Florence, Norman, Eva, Esther and another Eva. James was a fisherman and in 1901 he was a firstmate on a fishing boat. His sons, Andrew and Thomas emigrated to Canada in the early 1900s.
