MARCUS LAFAYETTE WILKINS - Co. D 2ndbattalion North Carolina Infantry. He was captured and released at Elizabeth city, N.C. 2-21-1862. Captured again at Gettysburg and sent to Fort Delaware and then exchanged 2-18-1865.

ISAAC WILKINS (b.7-29-1835-d.12-23-1918) in Robeson County, North Carolina, enlisted as a private in the 24th Regiment-N.C. Troops, Company G at the age of 25 on June 4, 1861. He was present and accounted for until he deserted on or about November 11, 1862. When apprehended on or about June 1, 1863 he was placed in confinement.

He returned to duty on August 12, 1863 and was present and accounted for until captured at or near Fort Stedman, Virginia on March 25, 1865. After capture he was confined at Point Lookout, Maryland until released on June 21, 1865 after taking the oath of allegiance.

He and his wife (Narcissus Anne Allen) are buried in East Howellville Township of Robeson County, North Carolina on the south side of White Oak Swamp.
