DOL Snowmobile Hazing packing shotgun
DOL hazing buffalo on snowmobile.

Do these pictures bother you?

CLICK HERE 4/14/00 DOL HAS BEGUN HAZING THIS MORNING. BABY BUFFALO BORN 4/9 DEAD. 30+ BUFFALO HAZED TOWARD DUCK CREEK CAPTURE FACILITY. FOUR BFC VOLUNTEERS ARRESTED. PLEASE - WE NEED YOUR HELP.

Well they are the result of the Department of Livestock in Montana slaughtering the buffalo of Yellowstone Park if they step foot out of the boundaries of the park itself. During winter months the buffalo range outside park boundaries in search of "FOOD".

After repeated attempts to get GOVERNOR MARC RACICOT to listen to reason and stop this senseless slaughter - it seems the only way to make the picture clearer to him that this is totally "unacceptable" is to Boycott the State of Montana and halt any commerce period.

We need your help.

If you buy product and supplies from Montana...write those suppliers and let them know....until the buffalo slaughter stops you will find supplies elsewhere. Remind them that once change occurs its hard to go back to old ways.

Here are some comments from a friend who's needing help to fight Racicot and the Montana Department of Livestock because the buffalo can't do it alone.

Something has to be done, and SOMEBODY has to do it. Who's got the ball? Montana? The Fed? If we're expecting a change for the better - why? Because Montana/Racicot suddenly change their minds and will stop killing buffalo? Or would it be because people rebel and squeeze Racicot until he has NO CHOICE but to stop the killing? Where do "nice guys" finish? Can anybody explain what "progress" has been made toward resolving this mess?

"The first rule of magic is simple. Don't waste your time waving your hands and hoping when a rock or a club will do."
      -- McCloctnik the Lucid

I sympathize that some innocent citizens of Montana would experience some short-term financial hardship as a result of the Boycott. They didn't initiate the killing, and many are probably irate about it. However, the larger picture is that the more pressure that is put onto Racicot by in-state voters and merchants, the faster a solution will be forged, and the faster it'll be "business as usual" again - whether the Montana DOL and Racicot like it or not. I'm not asking merchants to bite the bullet themselves - I'm asking them to help force a solution.

Please pitch in and help. Mild weather won't last forever, and when the snow drives bison down to lower elevation grasses - we already know what will happen again - and again.

Here is the link to the Montana businesses. It wouldn't take very long to email off a message of Buffalo Slaughter Protest and Boycott - I do it to and for a hundred people every day. Ask them to forward your comments to their members (merchants). Do you have friends who saw the Buffalo Slaughter TV specials on either ABC or A&E? Please ask them to help, too. Is there anyone who saw the show and was NOT upset by it? (Racicot, Burns, and Montana DOL excluded).

Thank you.
Tom

A letter, even by email, will hopefully express to the native Montanans that they MUST exert pressure on Governor Marc Racicot and the Department of Livestock (DOL) who is doing the killing at the blessings of Marc Racicot. He continues to tell the world that "a solution is close at hand". Well, a young lady wrote to him over 10 months ago and his statement was the same as it was on the ABCs 30 minute newsline on this issue. Racicot has no intention of changing the reigns that the cattlemen pull on his neck. He will climb to the top even if it means over dead bodies, just like he climbed over 192 dead bodies in Libby. See this page. He has full intent of hanging onto George Bush's coat tail to rise to claim the title of Bruce Babbitt, Secretary of Interior.

Here's where we begin - write/email/phone the the businesses of each major city. Express your intent to BOYCOTT ALL MONTANA PRODUCT UNTIL THE SLAUGHTER OF THE BUFFALO STOPS!!!

Folks, these Companies listed at this link do business in the State of Montana. By doing so, they are agreeing by their continued financial support, both job and tax wise that slaughtering the last free roaming herd of American Bison, the Buffalo of Yellowstone, is just fine.

They are condoning by their continued prescence and silence that a "scorched" earth policy is totally acceptable.

Show them it isn't.

It may cost you a few dollars to sleep or eat elsewhere. It may cost you a few more pennies to buy your meat raised in Florida, Wyoming or other States but the policy in place now, in Montana is a death sentence carried out even against the males buffalo who can not transmit the disease as they do not give birth.

Montana continues this slaughter inspite of all the evidence and the slaughter of over 2500 buffalo to date. They KILL during a time when there is absolutely no possible way that brucellosis can be transmitted. Here are the Chamber of Commerce addys for each major City:
