Jacqueline’s Junque
The whisper of goodbye,
Sends a shiver down her spine
"Not yet," she calls back gently.
"For the moment.... He is mine."
For in those cherished rendezvous
Which are stolen in the night,
She wraps him in her loving arms,
And dares to hold him tight.
She cannot deny the weakness,
That he places in her heart,
Never wanting to imagine
What it would be like apart.
She hears the whisper of goodbye,
And calls back, "Not just yet,
We are making forever memories,
So neither will ever forget."
How wonderful to find the one,
To fill the empty holes,
To reach inside and touch so deep,
You feel it in your soul.
Your touch will never leave my skin,
Your kiss never leave my lips.
Your smile is always in my eyes,
For all time .... remember this.
The day you at last leave me,
I won't let you see me cry
But my heart will always echo with
The whispers of your goodbye.
