Shattered
Jacqueline’s Junque
As I wipe the wetness from my eyes,
I stand and say my last good-byes.
With cold tears running down my face,
Alone, with no one to embrace.
I wanted to stop, but something inside
Held me back, it was probably pride.
So, I let you go, and it tore me apart
Confused, and nursing my aching heart.
Nothing left between us, or so it seems
Shattered... and broken with my empty dreams.
