Lambda Gamma Zeta Chapter, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was formed in October, 1981, and chartered on January 31, 1982 at the Interfaith Center, Wilde Lake Village, Columbia, Maryland.
The Chapter works with the community in carrying out the Programmatic Thrust of the Grand Basileus. Our partnership with the school System was a notable example as well as our participation in the Black History Fair held each February in the Columbia Mall. We are currently working with the African-American Coalition of Howard County on concerns and issues affecting the Black community.
Scholarships and Book Awards are given with funds coming from scholarship fundraisers. Lambda Gamma Zeta has established Amicae and Archonette auxiliaries over the years and continues its commitment to them.
