Iodine Deficiency Disorder

Iodine deficiency disorder (or I.D.D.) is a disease that affects a lot of people. The governor's project for this year (and last year too for that matter) is raising money for I.D.D. The goal of the capital district is to raise money to research and work towards eradicating this disease. Our lieutenant governor, Susan Lange, challenged each club in Division 14 to raise $200 for I.D.D. This is a goal that Arundel Key Club can easily accomplish. We will work over the next year to raise this money.

The program will be as follows: On the set dates of each month, the Key Club members of each club will be asked to skip their lunch and donate the money they would have spent on it to I.D.D. We will set a price for those of you who normally pack your lunches in the future. The money will then be collected at the next meeting by the Treasurer. This program is designed to not only help reach the I.D.D. goal, but also will increase awareness about I.D.D. and help the members appreciate their good health.

The dates that the "Skip A Meal" program will go in effect are September 18, October 16, October 30, November 13, November 27, December 11, January 15, January 29, February 12, February 26, March 12, and March 26.
