This is an exhilarating event, and man is it fun. With pledges of at least $50, you get a cool sweat shirt and get to jump in COLD WATER. You also get to eat catered food (two years ago, it was Outback Steakhouse). Hanging out with your friends, waiting on the beach for a while, watching enormous tents get taken by the wind, and almost going with them- fun. It really is fun actually. Steve Rouse from WQSR hosted it up on this stage, taking a picture with the thousands of us, and rooting us on when that dreaded whistle rings, when everyone rushes the water. All the money goes to the Special Olympics of MD, so it's a really good cause.
