United, We Stand

Tuesday, September 11, 2001... we all witnessed history in the making. Four commercial planes were hijacked and three of the four were directed into the twin towers of the World Trade Center and The Pentagon. As of now, it is not certain as to who was behind this horrifying act of terrorism. And, right now, that's not our biggest concern. Hundreds of lives have been lost. And we're still loosing. We, at this site, do feel that those who caused all of this chaos should and will be punished. However, this is not the time for focusing on revenge. This is the time to mourn and reflect.

Our generation has heard time and time again about the tragedy that was the attack on Pearl Harbor. Only now do we realize what an impact it can have on a person. Especially an American citizen. When you look at the pictures and video footage on the news of how our country was attacked, don't think of how awful those people were who started this. Instead, pray for the souls lost. Pray for the families and friends of those lost as well. Support them in any way that you can.

America, to be perfectly blatant, has been hit far below the belt. Not only have these heartless, cold-blooded dastards killed many innocent people, but they've destroyed our base centers for both military and international communication. In order to show the rest of the world that we can't be defeated so quickly, we have to remind ourselves that whatever doesn't break us down, makes us stronger. We will overcome this. We will rise above it. Those people in and around those buildings did not die in vain. Those police officers and fire fighters who tried their best to save lives did not die in vain.

So, take time to respect them and mourn them. Pray for them and keep them in your thoughts. Stay strong, stay positive. And most importantly, never forget.
