Weeeeeee Invader Zim! I've decided to expand my anime section to include some American animation and comics as well. Why? Because it's my site and I make the rules that's why! Besides there aren't enough cool american cartoon sets out there and I thought I would give it a shot. Set info: Because there are no art books or comics of Invader Zim and I refuse to rip off other people's screen caps or fan art I had to draw Zim and Girr by hand in photoimpact using the shape tool (with shapes I made just for them) and a whole lot of paint brush. The Zim head alone took me about 2 hours and 45 minutes. The grid was made with my cheater method: You set your grid preferences in photo impact to what ever color and spacing you want then open a new image. In View, set the grid then open paint shop pro 7 and take a screen cap of the gridded image. Save your brand new blank grid in psd (best quality) format then use it from there. It saves me a hell of a lot of time, and it's way cheaper than getting a plug in filter just for that effect. The whole set took about 3 hours and 10 minutes to finish not counting Zim's body that ended up being thrown away anyway. I may make some more Invader Zim sets with different characters but it's too much work for free graphics when no one wants to email me or sign my guest book... Take care, C. Fly |
