Living Caverns (#392) The rough-hewn majesty of this cavern far outpaces any delight in the multitudes of curves that form its enclosure. The glabrous grey granite is shot through with translucent obsidian, lending subtly-veined sparkle to the walls and the foot-trodden smoothness of the floor that shows centuries-old placements of the scarred trestle tables; carven hollows give homes for the glow baskets and the coat-pegs that line the walls. No mosaics, no painting, no tiles: just a few well-done tapestries mark the pathway that lead to the kitchen to the north and the inner caverns to the west, and frame the nighthearth's stew and snacks, while a heavier strip of oiled canvas shields the unwary from the wind in the bowl. Tucked into a glowlit niche are Pollina, Tiramisu, Maksim, Dogma, Denver, Nebo, Sun, Tremayne, RazorThorn, Mayor, Litza, Tristano, Nimble, Ozu-Zarkh, Fiannan, Harme, Denim, Guardian, Leimur, Autumn, Sara, Inaho, Maynard, Ebon Vile, Searcher, Butterfly, and Kelpie. You see Tsunami Banner, Old Auntie sit-by-the-fire, Fluffernut, Brat, Fruity White Wine, Missy, Fantastic Triple Layer Bubbly Surprise, Creampuff, Azlan, Saphron, sketch, PeaGreen, and A group of random brats here. Hynolonie is here. Obvious exits: Bowl Kitchens Inner Caverns Crafting Area Anely arrives from deeper in the Weyr. Anely slides on through, jacket replaced by a thick cloak--today she doesn't feel like freezing like normally. Hanging across her other arm is another cape, and as the healer moves through the Living Caverns Zali is spotted and waved over. "Zali! Come on, I'm going to see the eggs." She purrs, not even stopping for her friend, just continuing on. Galleries (#5000) Row upon row of stone benching rises above the Hatching Grounds, seats for those who come to watch the incredible experience that is a hatching. Each individual seat is embellished with a worn cushion, the only concession to comfort in a place that traps heat, holding it within so that those who watch are inflicted with its intensity, though on a milder level than those who must stand and face the dragonets. The expanse of sand that is the hatching grounds spreads out in front of the benches, a huge stage for a spectacular show. Type 'help here' for info on how to view objects on the sands. Settled along stone are Iwatabem, Kynance, Ploofy, Tango, Belinda, Fish, Smoke, Lox, Rhiannon, Heavyn, Relg, Strawberry, Atreyu, Ralph, Quenn, Aria Moon, and Quatre. You see **HOW TO VIEW THE EGGS** (read sign) here. You notice Khia asleep here. Sorana, Faye, Quara, Oorla, Lylia, G'vin, and Anely are here. Obvious exits: Dragon Ledges Bowl G'vin goes out. On the sands, G'vin moves into the heat, shimmered and blurred by the ripples that rise off the Sands. Faye wriggles and rolls shoulder uncomfortably -- with a bronze clawing and winging at it, who would be comfortable? Sepia optics absently shift to sands, but mostly keep to Sorana. "Think you could do anything with it?" she inquires hopefully, idly tugging at a light ringlet. "I can tug along some other people, if'n you want me to, for company. Maybe just Feria; her hair is /long/ overdue for a cut ... err, I've a cookie or two? Saved from the 'brats." "Catch!" Is all that is said to the trailing girl behind the healer before she flings her extra cloak in Zali's direction. "You'll need it, it may be hot here but it's still freezing and I'm sure you're not at all used to it." Is explained as Anely makes her way up the stairs and lets her path send her towards her favorite spot in the galleries. "Faaaaaaye." Lylia gives a little finger wiggle of a wave, trailing up the stairs. "Quara! Need anything?" A bored rider is willing to even be at a pregnant rider's beck and call. Zali follows Anely up the stairs, calling after her. "Ane! Let me have the cloak!" She jerks back as the wanted item flies at her, and she catches it, wrapping it around her shivering shoulders. The candidate glares at Anely before speaking. "Why couldn't you have given it to me /before/ we went outside!" She sighs a bit as she trails behind her friend, her eyes on the eggs now that she is warmed. "Ooh, they are pretty..." Quara waddles uncomfortably over to Faye, practically beaming. "Oh, thank you so /much/," gushes the pregnant - but no longer morning-sick, thankfully - bluerider, with a skeptic eye at Strawberry. "He won't eat them, will he?" she asks, nervously, a hand going over her tummy in reflex. Better safe than sorry. Sorana nods slowly, still eyeing Faye's hair (and other shiney bronze accessories). "Lylia!!! Hi! Didya see the /eggs/?" Anway, Sor, back to business...she bites her lower lip thoughtfully, glancing 'round. "Where y'want it cut?" "Yep, they're pretty, aren't they?" Lylia beams slightly, dancing closer to the railing. "They're just lovely. Good clutch." Tiareth-spawn... Scary. Anely laughs at that, slipping easily enough into her favorite spot. "What fun would /that/ be?" Inquires said healer before she casts a narrowed glare in Lylia's direction. Nope, she won't forgive the brownrider for the eyebrow piercing if it's the last thing she does. Fingers gently drum on her crossed knee as she peers out onto the sand, examining each one carefully. Faye waves a hand Lylia-wards, attempting to poke a wildly wing-flapping bronze off shoulder. He likes Fayehair. He wants to eat Fayehair. "Sorana -- /heelp/. Please." Pair of cookies, one klah and one rainbow, and held out to Quara with one hand holding back firelizard. "He eats anything. He ate a crawlie once, you know." Sorana nodnods, flicking a beaming glance over Le Eggs. "Yep. Veryvery pretty. All...shiny and gleaming and swirly." So Sorana illustrates, swirling her hand around. Mid-swirl, "Eh? Help? Oh!" The 'folk bustles over, blinking at the Fayehair-'Berry mix. "Uhm. Oh my. Does...he bite often, Faye?" Sorana makes some rather vague attempts at freeing the cook, awaiting the answer. "Weird." Emerald gaze flickers, Lylia peering up at the creature in question. Poor Fayehair. Faye might end up bald. "Anything? There must be something he won't eat." Oorla releases Smirk, who launches into the air. Smirk circles i=the galleries, careful not to get too near the sands. Why hasn't anyone taken the time to show /him/ the eggs? Quara takes the cookies, and then looks at the bronze dubiously. "Eeeew. Crawlies are /nasty/," she comments, with a shudder. She takes a bite of the rainbow, smiles, and scoffs it down, followed by the klah cookie hot on its heels. "Mmmm. These are delicious," she approves, with a smile. "Oh, Lylia, darling? You said you could get me something, right?" she asks, emerald eyes a-glitter. "Ermmmm.." Lylia's a bit of a bunny in a cage now, isn't she? But the brownrider gives a tentative nod. "Yes?" Meeeeep. "I can. Sure. Um... What is it?" "I don't think so, he /will/ eat anything," Faye whines, now prodding harder at hair-clawing bronze. 'Berry wants Fayehair nownow. "He tried to eat a ladle once when I was making soup." Strawberry makes another unusual sound at Sorana, clinging to his humanpet's hair. Food. "Except people. He doesn't bite people." Oorla carefully moves onto one of the nearby ledges. On the Gallery ledges, Oorla steps carefully in from the galleries, the Hatching Sands displayed below them. "More fun than walking through the cold in a summer dress," Zali mutters quietly, before leaning forward to see the eggs more closely. "Which ones are your favorites?" Her own sapphire eyes scan the bunch, pausing on each to examine them closely before moving on. "Or have you looked at them enough to know yet?" Anely is quite glad that her Kin doesn't eat hair, she just hides in it and refuses to come out at times. "Kin, Kin dear... come see the eggs?" He healer inquires of the gold clinging relentlessly to her neck. "Crawlies aren't that nasty, they're weird looking but not nasty... I knew someone who had a pet crawlie..." Comes Ane's idly comment before she lets her gaze once more focus upon Zali's form. "Exactly! Um, and I don't have any yet, last time I was up here I just gossiped with Lis about her current situation and about Ly-" She quickly cuts herself off and sends a look in the said brownrider's direction. Hrmph. Hynolonie comes up the stairs. "Oh, good," is Sorana's comment as she moves on in. Troops deployed. One -- the hair is, if Sorana does say so herself, skillfully untangled from most of 'berry's body. Two -- Sorana attempts to remove 'Berry. Quara smiles ferally in Lylia's direction. "Oh, marvelous, darling, then could you get me some sweetsticks? Oh, and some of Mhari's darling fruity sticky things, would you?" She pauses for a moment, in thought, and then adds, "Oh, and some of the fruit juices that are sitting out, of course. Unless you know how I mix my drinks, in which case..." She rambles on an on, listing most of the contents of the kitchens as she goes. Strawberry will get what he wants, whether he has to wait for Sorana to cut it off or not. "A pet crawlie?" Insert shudder here. 'Berry chitters and reclenches talons 'round a lock of hair: his Fayehair. "Leggogogo!" squeaks Faye, batting at the bronze. "You're pulling, 'Berrrrrry!" Firelizard's eyes gain a reddish tinge. Fayehair is /his/. Hynolonie goes home. "Sweetsticks?" Lyli knows where Pyrene's stash is. "Ohhh, the fruit things. Yeah, I can get you those. I don't know about drinks, but I'll bring you what I can." A slight smile dances on her lips, and the rider bustles towards the stairs. She's got things to do, yep. Lylia goes out. Sorana rolls her eyes, darting slender fingers within the Fayehair. "For Faranth's sake...Strawberry, let go!" Ever try unwinding firelizard fingers? They're /small/. Quara smiles satisfiedly as she sends the brownrider off with her lovely list, and then she leans back, ankles propped comfortably up, as the haircutter and the cook do battle with the bronze. Oh, ouch. That's gotta hurt! Clawclawclaw. 'Berry's little talons /refuse/ to let go. His Fayehair. "Maybe we should scare him off with some 'brats," Baker suggests, fwapping lightly at glimmering hide. Faye's Fayehair. "He doesn't like them." Sorana purses her lips, wrinkling her pale nose at the bronze. "Come...on...you!" comes the frustrated order, barked out amidst tugs at the little claws. "'s'not yer hair!" Tugtugtug. Roaoaor. A threatening rumble-mixed-'Berrysound emits from glittering firelizard, directed at Sorana. It's his Fayehair, and there's no question about it. "Very funny, 'Berry," Faye lightly thwaps at bronze leg. He'll /have/ to let go. "But you're gonna let go sooner or later. How about we get a Nanny to sic some Weyrbrats on you? Or put you on a strict diet of ... something you don't like?" Claws lighten grasp. Slightly. Food means business. Zali turns to eye Anely suspiciously. "Crawlies? What do they have to do with anyting?" She glances at the gold Kin and grins. "Kin came to visit me before Adora offered to bring me up here." She pauses, then turns to Anely. "By the way, did I tell you she asked me to stand." She means to sound carefree, but her tone says otherwise. "I said yes...but only so I could see you more." She lets the whisps of a sigh escape her lips before continuing. "It's not as much fun without you, and Hannah, and the rest." Sorana chimes in, even as she tries to gently pry the little claws off. "Yeah, like...'brat-bread. The kind that's all....not good for firelizards like you. It makes you feel not hungry for a /long/ time..." Anyone have any idea what Sorana's talking about? All info to Sor herself. Quara eyes the struggle with amused interest, although an occasional glance is sent to the stairs. Isn't Lylia back with her food yet? And, waiting, she drums a finger on her stomach, where her own weyrbrat-to-be is, although not in a position to threaten any bronzes. Faye continues fighting and tugging away little, persistant claws. She must keep thinking up threats good enough to scare 'Berry. "Living bread, 'Berry." Talons semi-release grip; enough for the bronze to be removed, anyway -- he remembers that bread. Chirple. Anely quirks a brow slightly, "Ahh, so that's where she went off to. I was curious but didn't question her. She does that from time to time. Goes to bug my old friends and such. And no you didn't, but I assumed as much when she dragged you up here and then away from me." She fakes a sniff before flashing a sweet smile, "Perhaps this time'll be for you, I sort of gave up that dream when I didn't impress down in Ista. And soon I'm going to go back down there, I just can't stand it up here without E'ral..." She explains quietly as a soft sigh falls from her lips. Kin sends a careful gaze over to the struggling people and the bronze, hmm, not very obedient is he? Strawberry is semi-obedient. See how he's sort of letting go? Sorana, unfortunately, was distracted by Anely-Zali conversation, and misses the opportunity. Was that a chirple? "Yipe!" Maybe if she's fast enough she can undo his fingers... Zali shrugs a bit. "I didn't impress at Ista either, 'member?" She shakes her head. "And I'm a candidate agian." She shakes her head agian with a sigh. "Just as I get up here to see you, you go back off to Ista. Why couldn't you have been there /before/, and here /now/?" A hand reaches up to brush a sennia curl away from her face. "Anyway, how have you been since the hatching?" Anely gives a bit of a shrug, "It's not my fault, I didn't... oh nevermind. And yes I know you didn't, but you did get asked to stand again, that /has/ to mean something good." She comments idly languidly brushing the little river of ebon strands from her view. Bad hair, stay /behind/ her ear. "And I've been well enough I guess..." Ah yes, she guesses... Strawberry flaps wings as another murmur about living bread is heard -- he's out of hair and swiftly coiled into a little niche nearby whichever firelizard is blessed with his presence. "/Thank you/, dearie," burbles Faye to bronze, taking a step back -- wouldn't want to chance him coming back, would we? "Eesh ... my hair's all tangled ... urm, Sorana, would you mind cutting my hair, now that he's out?" anything to do with the decision ;P Zali rolls her eyes as she looks away from Anely and out toward the eggs agian. "Well, search has hardly started you know. I've only met one other candidate besides me." She shifts a bit, loosening the cloak around her and allowing it to fall behind her -- warm for the first time since she's been here. "So you don't have any favorites yet? They all look so pretty." Anely suddenly rises, a soft groan escaping her lips. "I've got to go, Belinda is making a mess in my room again. I'll get the cape back later." She murmurs quietly and skitters off towards the stairs. Sorana shakes her head, grinning happily once again. "Nope! In the baths, perhaps?" Faye bobs head, 'Berry-messied coils bouncing along with. "Best place, I think," she agrees. Cook eyes chittering bronze suspiciously before she sneaks out, on her way to the baths. Faye goes out. Bouncing steps and a soft giggle can be heard from the direction of the stairs before an auburn-locked child peeks her head over and peers around. Seeing... no one that she knows, Hyzen makes her way up the rest of the stairs and stretches, looking out towards the eggs. Eyes widen a bit at the amount... way more than she had seen yesterday! Beaming happily, she goes and leans on the wall, just... staring. Zali watches Anely leave with a worried frown, but soon turns back to the eggs, her eyes studing each one carefully. As the galleries empty, and quiet, she turns around. On Hyzen's sight she brightens. "Hyzen! What are you doing here?!" She stands, knocking her cloak to the floor in the process. Apparently the child had just missed Anely on the way up, for she hadn't seen her 'mother' at all other than sleeping. Heaving a deep sigh, she jerks at the voice, her head snapping around as if connected to strings. Amber-gold optics widen and a grin splits the child's face. "Zali!" comes the over-joyed cry as Hyzen leaps towards her friend, trying to wrap small arms around the mid-waist of the other. "I live here! Why are you here?" Zali grins as she returns the hug, then points to the knot on her shoulder. "I got searched agian. I dunno why, but I did." She shakes her head. "I just thought I was coming to visit Anely for a while, but they asked me to stay for the clutch." She moves away, sitting back in her seat. "And since when do you live here? I thought you lived at Ista Weyr..." Hyzen lifts her wide eyes to regard the white knot, little face falling into solemn lines as she does so. "Wow... really? Congrats! I'm so happy you are here! I haven't seen you in a long time!" She claps her hands excitedly before taking the seat next to her friend. "I used to... but Anely wanted me to be her fosterling and I liked it here better. So I came to stay. I live with Anely and her sister, Aaria, now." A proud grin flashes across the childish features while the brilliant optics rove over the soft eggs and momma dragon. brushed it off like it was nothing. Zali listens quietly for a moment, then nods. "I see. Aaria? Is that her twin, or another sister?" Her eyes turn back to the eggs as well, the new candidate getting familiar with them. "How many eggs are there? Do you know?" A single finger moves about in front of the dolphincrafter as she counts, but there is no way she'll get them all. "They are so pretty." On the sands, Tiareth opens one eye, and raises her head, peering up into the galleries. She yawns broadly, revealing her very sharp teeth. Are they talking about /her/ eggs? THey are rather lovely, though, aren't they? "No... Ane's twin is Inely. Aaria's about my age, just a little bit older." The child giggles into her hand as eyes continue to rove the sands and their contents. "Twenty-two I think it was. That's what I was told anyway..." she trails off when she spots the yawning momma and blinks, lifting a hand to wave merrily in the gold's direction. "'lo there, Tiareth!" comes the happy call... not like the dragon will respond to a child... but still! Tis good manners to be nice to a just-clutched dragon-mother. Turning back to Zali, she nods her head wisely. "I hope you Impress, Zali. That'd be great if you stayed here!" A happy squeal emits from Hyzen as she bounces in her seat with hardly restrained excitement. On the sands, Chiernnath is motionless, cradling his sleeping rider. The only clue that hints that the bronze is not asleep is the slight twitching of his talons. Click-click. On the sands, Tiareth rumbles softly at the small child. Politeness is its own reward, but acknowledgement comes a close second. Gleaming tail moves slightly to nudge Chiernnath's leg before continuing on its way to brush sand over top of one barely-covered egg. Mustn't let them get cold. Zali raises a hand, waving it slightly at Tiareth with a nod of her head. But the older girl doesn't say anything, she'd feel too awkward shouting across the sands. "Twenty-two. Well, they're lovely. I think I like that one. Or maybe that one." The roving finger comes to rest on nearly every egg before she shrugs. "I dunno. I like 'um all." Khloe walks up to the galleries, taking in the sights...sights being eggs. "Twenty two, huh?" she asks, "Good clutch." Faye saunters in, a light skip in her step. Look at her new haircut; try and see 'Berry cling to /that/. "Ooh, 'lo, Loren!" Fingers are wiggled to the Messenger. "Come to see the eggs, I assume? There's ... a bunch of them." Nono, she doesn't owe anyone cookies. Hyzen studies the eggs thoughtfully for a long moment, tapping her chin and squinting her eyes. "I think... I like that one," slim finger points towards the Niagara Falls Egg. "Or that one..." This time it's the Egyptian Sphinx Egg. "What do you think will hatch from each one? Have you placed bets on them yet?" She had heard -all- about it yesterday from Lis and Geko along with the others she didn't know. Heh. When Tiareth replies to her, the child blinks in surprise and a slow, shy smile takes over her face before a slight wave is canted towards the new arrivals. Zali shakes her head slightly. "No, I haven't hardly had a chance to look at them, let alone bet on them. Besides, I don't have very many marks with me." She doesn't have very much of /anything/ with her. Including clothing. But you don't bring much when your planing to stay a few hours. Eyes shift to the new arrivals, and she waggles her fingers a bit at them in greeting. Loren pads in, silvery tunic and brown hair hidden by a fair of.. well... daemonic firelizards. Violent firelizards, in anycase. A large green is swatted at in her attempts to get into a fight with a somewhat small brown, and a blue is shushed as he chirp-cheers them on. "Augh, Dorothy, s/to-o-op/ it. Wufei, shut up. Shingi--stop laughing. /Please/." An exasperated sigh, and Loren looks towards Faye with a relieved smile. "Faye! ..yup, came to see the eggs, since I had to leave so soon last night." Head tilts in a greeting to the runner's welcomer, and Loren approaches Faye, firelizardheavy. From Loren's shoulder, Dorothy chirrups indignantly and swats at Wufei once more with her long, emerald tail. She can't fight? Well, then. Hrmph. Ozma blinks in from ::between::! "Looks like you've got a good deal of 'lizards, there," Faye observes with a wide grin, turning ever-so slightly to point at the sands. "'Ve you got any favourites that you saw? I liked that really green one. Pretty." Hyzen clutches the sides of her chair as she leans forward, eyeing the eggs critically. "I've seen a few clutchings and hatchings... they're always fun to do!" Bright eyes turn back to peer upon Zali, studying and sizing her up for a time before the new flow of words come. "I could give ya some marks... Xainder, my da, gave me a lot to live off of." She roots around in a pouch and pulls out a mark, handing it over in Zali's direction. "I don't know what I'm going to do with them all... you can have more if you want." A hand lifts to sweep some stray strands from her face as she awaits some kind of answer from the new Candidate. "Good deal is right.. and these three, Shini and Dorothy and Wufei, are more trouble than they're worth." Loren giggles a little as Shinigami chirrups an apology, then nods empathatically as Faye makes an inquiry as to a preferred egg. The distance between Baker and Runner is closed, and, at arriving next to Faye, Loren aims a somewhat-slender finger towards Geisha District of Kyoto Egg. "That one. I'ts pretty, don't you think? ..well, they're /all/ pretty, but I like that one best." On the sands, Tiareth rumbles softly, thrumming over her eggs. They're all lovely in her eyes. Sand is scooped carefully o're more of the eggs, her front paws working to pat it down just so. Zali shakes her head with a short laugh, waving her hand at Hyzen. "No, no. I don't want your marks. I don't really want to bet on them anyway, I know I'll be wrong." She grins at her friend. "I was wrong about /all/ of them at Ista's hatching. Well, except the gold one, but that was obvious." Oh dear, the dolphincrafter is off on a tangent now. "Speaking of Ista, Hannah lives here, doesn't she? Have you seen her? And someone else. Or maybe it was Alfi, and she impressed." Zali rambles on, her eyes alternating between the eggs and Hyzen. "I haven't really seen any of them since the hatching. Where was Nevarre from? Oh, right. Herderhall, with Jozelle." Khloe looks at all the eggs, giving each a though before saying. "I like that pretty one over there." Fingers point to Pearl of Bahrain Egg. Fudge, meanwhile, peers at the other 'lizard s in awe. Faye hums quietly, sienna orbs flickering back to Loren, only to bounce over to sands. "That one?" Baker queries, arm outstretched to point at Le Mont St-Michel Egg. "With a little bit of gold, 'n' mostly brownish?" From Loren's shoulder, Wufei chirrups perturbedly at Dorothy, curling his slender tail 'round his coppery-brown frame. That's right, /green/. Don't mess with me. The rambling list of names that Zali spews forth confuse poor Hyzen as she tries to keep up with the Candidate's words. "I... I don't know, Zali. I only recognized Alfi's name... I don't know any Hannah." Wait... maybe she does. "I've heard of her... but here, in High Reaches. I think she's a kidlet like me." Slender shoulders shrug slightly, upsetting a very deeply sleeping Proof... who nibbles on her ear sleepily before curling back up again. Xena has had the right thought and found refuge upon a ledge earlier today. So nyah. Stuffing the proffered mark back into the pouch, Hyzen then bounces up from her seat and back towards the wall, though closer to Zali this time. "Which one do you like like?" Khloe smiles. "Well, off I go..." On the Gallery ledges, Alymath scrambles in, careful of wings and tail. On the Gallery ledges, Lis tries not to bump 'gainst any sharp joints as she slides down Alymath's forearm. On the Gallery ledges, Lis edges further along the ledge and into the galleries. Lis edges in from one of the nearby ledges. Loren nods a little at Faye's choice, then, depositing her firelizards on the bench behind her. "Yeah, see it. It's pretty, too!" Amethyst eyes dart about, randomly picking out eggs and pointing out their colors to both her firelizards and Faye for no apparent reason. Gem-like orbs finally come to rest on Tiareth, and a not-quite-graceful hand snaps up in a salute, both out of respect for the queen and a force of habit embedded in her from years of getting 'And don't forget to salute to Sparoth!' from both her father and L'ark. "Tiareth laid a good-sized clutch, ne?.." Lis and goobing-Alymath are seen out of the corner of an eye, and Loren fingerwiggles a bit. She can't get too close--Alymath may goob again. Zali tilts her head as she leans forward agian, to get a better view of the egg. "I don't know. I think I like...that one." Zal's finger points out the Plains Indian Egg. "But I like all the other ones too. I like all of them." What a decision for a confused new candidate to make. At least she's not half frozen anymore. Happy - pregnant - blue. It's Lis, who skips lightly down the steps after leaving poor Alymath all alone in the ledges above. Well, not /quite/ all alone, as there's a nice brown visiting from Telgar for her to nuzzle against. Alymath's rider, however, turns her attention to the humans with a warm smile and a soft - relatively soft - bellow of 'Hellooo!' Faye giggles softly at runner's antics, tossing a sharp salute of her own to the Gold on the Sands -- only polite, right? "Pretty big, mmhmm," Cook agrees, idly waving at Lis. And Alymath, too; why not? Hyzen eyeballs the egg that Zali had pointed out, her soft humming increasing slightly in pitch. "I like it... but those other two are still -my- favorites." She puffs up a bit at this mentioning, turning glittering orbs back to twinkle merrily at Zali. "Do you miss your old home in Ista?" comes the curious question before head is again jerked... that's gotta hurt after a while... towards the call from Lis. Another squeal, happy all the same, emerges from the form. "Hiya Lis! Aren't the eggs purty?!" comes the hyper cry before Hy turns back to Zali and the eggs. "Are you scared, Zali?" Soft, faint... barely heard above the general noise. Loren giggles a little as Faye.. well.. mimics her.. or something.. then turns a little to salute Alymath--even if she does goob. "Hi, Lis!," is the replying bellow, and Loren turns back to Faye with a question: "Faye, how many eggs did Tiareth lay? I didn't get to see the whole Clutching, 'member?" The runner sniffles a little, and scoops up the teetering Wufei gleefully before eyeing Faye once more and awaiting a response. Ah, but there's not Alymath withing goobing range, and the green in question is /much/ more interested in getting that brown to warm her hide with his brownness. "'Lo Faye, Hyzen... uh, Loren," - look, she finally got one - "and, uh, you. Person. Zali." Taking only three tries, she manages to pick up the unfamiliar name, hiking skirts as she hops from row to row towards the small group. Hannah slips up the stairs, tucking strands of moonlight pale hair behind her ears, her wide emerald eyes scan the group. "Zali...?" is whispered with a widening of her eyes. Gulping, the short girl reaches up to tap Zali gently on the shoulder.. Angeline vanishes into the depths of ::between::. Faye drums feet 'gainst ground, brown gaze wandering around the galleries. "Urm ... twee-ee-eenty ... something. You know, twenty-something." No cookies for Loren at this rate. Hee. "Oh, ah, did you notice my haircut? Sora trimmed it a little for me. 'Berry won't eat it now." Pixy comes up the stairs. Having finally noted that Alymath is, indeed, out of goobing range and focusing more on the brown, Loren switches to the other side of Faye to see the eggs better, giving a slight wave to the girl.. talking.. to.. that.. other girl.. who's getting shoulder-tapped.. by that other girl.. in any case, they all get waved at before the runner turns to eye Faye. "Haircut? Ooh, cute. I like it.. Strawberry eats hair? ..not even Shinigami eats hair. He hits people with his tail." And a hand trails up to rub a small ear in memory, Loren shivering a bit as it does. "And it /hurts/. Kind of." Zali blinks, hearing her names from two different directions. First, the candidate turns to Lis. "Oh, hello." She pauses, her brow wrinkling. "Wait, aren't you the one who had a baby?" Sapphire eyes shift to the obviously still pregnant stomach. "Or not..." Then the candidate turns to the tapping on her shoulder. "Hannah! I was just thinking about you!" She grins happily at her former candi-buddy, before turning back to Lis. Lis uses the opportunity of Faye's hair-cut-showing-off to add in her own comment of, "And I sewed myself a nice maternity dress!" Ah, well, we all need our moments of self-grandeur. Noticing Zali's eyes on her still-big abdomen, the greenrider casts a lopsided glance in the girl's direction. "Nah, didn't have the baby /yet/, but who are you? You can't be for D'renn, since Adora got you." The scarring of the innocent begins now... "Haircut looks nice, Faye!" Lis calls over various shoulders. "Yeah, but 'Berry eats anything," Faye points out, casting a glance to bronze -- now comfortably settled with a little group of 'lizards. "From hair, to crawlies, to ... cookies." Tendril is idly twirled 'round finger whilst Baker nods to Lis. "Thanks! Your dress is nice, too." Zali blinks, slightly confused. "For D'renn? Who's he? And why would I be for him?" She nods a bit, her brow still furrowed in confusion. "Adora brought me from Ista. Well, the dolphinhall there anyway. She asked me to stand." The candidate points at the knot on her shoulder, in case the rider had missed its whitness. Turning to Hyzen she nods slightly. "Yes, I do. Its too cold here. And I guess I'm scared...a little bit." Lis beams almost ear to ear at the compliment - must be one of the first she's gotten from anyone. "D'renn's the father of my baby," explains the greenrider to start with - ought to put the poor girl off track. "Oh, so you're a candidate! Lovely. You're safe from D'renn at least until the eggs hatch, and then most people either go back home, or get stuck here forever with a lump of hide." The various other questions are avoided blithely for now - she can probably string the girl out for a while with 'em. Meanwhile, the eggs are watched as she brushes imaginary dust specks from her dress. "Crawlies? ..now, Shini-dear eats crawlies occasionally, but not often." Loren turns gemlike violet gaze back to Lis, and, still cuddling the much perturbed Wufei, the runner speaks. "Yup. Is'sa nice dress.." Wow. Eloquence. So talkative now, ne? "Anyway. Fa-a-aye, do you have any cookies with you? Or any food? I haven't eaten since.." Since she ate at the 'Shipfish before she came up here with Maxwellth.. "..like.. lunch. Or whenever." She's hungry like firelizards, but not that crazed. "Maybe just one cookie? Or three? One for me and one for you and one for.. well.. someone. If you have three. We could split it?" Cookie-monger. And not just a cookiemonger, but a cookiemonger with hair that attracts things like firelizards. Dallin walks in. euphoria. Hyzen nods slowly at Zali's reply, her eyes dancing slowly over each and every egg... yes, all twenty-two of them. Optics linger caressingly upon the ones she likes... not like it matters much anyway. But she can still like them, right? Shoving her hair back, she sighs with gusto and takes her clippie thing out of her pouch and forces her hair to cooperate with it. Finally it is in a sembilence of order and the child grins at her own... ingenuity. Running her hands slowly along the cold rock, she keeps casting glances towards Zali and Lis then back to eggs and momma and poppa dragons. Leaning as far over the wall as possible, she calls down towards them. "Are you happy you have so many eggs, you guys?" Just makin' conversation with a dragon. What's wrong with that? On the sands, Tiareth rumbles up at Hyzen. She is very happy to have more babies, yes. Faye fishes through pockets, retrieving two rainbow-hued cookies. "Got two or ... five, maybe," she responds, gaze drifting up to ceiling as she digs hand 'round pockets. "I think one of the others is all cracked 'n' broken, though. I'll leave it." With a shrug, hand pulls out, two of four cookies offered to Loren. "You've gotta travel with food or something, Loren. Being hungry's no fun." As if Faye's ever felt hunger. Sraine strolls into the galleries, having heard the latest gossip that the eggs had indeed been clutched. Now this was something you just couldn't leave to plain talk and had to see for yourself. Did the poor resident need to get around more? Heck ya... Pausing a moment and glancing about, she's everthankful that her 'family' was fairly quiet around dragons. Respect for the bigger ones most likely. Walking up to the wall and peering down at all the eggs, she stands there awestruck. There was so many! Ice-coloured gaze smoothly flowing over all the eggs, they rest on the large dragon below. Reverent bow of her head and a genuine smile are cast towards Tiareth's way, as well as a congradulatory wave. She wasn't much for words. As she hears Hyzen speak, she turns her head quickly, having not noticed the kidlet before. "Oh...hey Hyzen." Loren beams cheerfully to Faye as she takes the proffered food, and continues to do so as she munches. Munch munch, munch munch. "..no, Wufei, you can't have a cookie. Cookies aren't for firelizards." Geisha District egg is eyed once more, and Loren turns to her Bakerfriend with a quizzical look set on her chubby-round face. "Fa-a-a-ye? Can dragons eat cookies? If I gave a cookie to Rixesith, would he eat it?" Amusement, or possibly hunger at Faye's producing of the cookies sparkles in Lis' eyes as she settles into a seat with an exaggerated rustle-bustle of faded blue skirt material. Balancing the arches of her boots on the edge of the row in front of her, the greenrider manages to watch the entire panorama at once: people arriving, Hyzen talking to the dragons, Loren recieving cookies from Faye, and as a backdrop to it all, the /eggs/. Zali just blinks at Lis. "Right." The dolphincrafter candidate hasn't even met this D'renn, and he already confuses her. "Candidate. Yes, thats me." Zali turns to Sraine as she enters, offering a small smile. The girl looks to Hyzen, waiting for an introduction to her friend. "Hello." Faye peers at Alymath a moment at Loren's words -- ah, yes, she's well out of goobing range. That checked, Baker turns to Loren with a nod. "Dragons prob'ly would eat cookies, but I'm not sure they're very good ... you know, if a dragon has a whole bunch?" Hyzen stamps her feet gently against the ground as she continues to peer down upon the golden dragon. "I think they're all beautiful... I got to see some of them be born... but the rest I didn't." She shows remorse for missing it... but it wasn't her fault! Bah. This wall was too tall for her tastes. Scrambling onto it, she takes it up as a perch, glancing down at Tiareth in hopes that she wasn't bothering her. "Am I okay right here? I'm not bothering you, am I?" Questions... just a flow of them. When Sraine speaks, Hyzen luckily doesn't jerk in her direction... that could be disasterous for her. "Hiya Sraine! Aren't they purty?" When Zali speaks up, the child blinks... not ever thinking Zali and Sraine hadn't met. "Zali, this is Sraine. Sraine, Zali." Introductions... before the child leans upon her hands and gazes down at Tia... awaiting some kind of snap or something to send her scuttling back... heh. Not to worry - D'renn confuses most people, including Lis. "Sriath likes cookies, or he used to when he was a weyrling," the greenrider pipes up with dubious helpfullness, continuing with, "And he almost got Alymath to try 'em too." That's Lis - the pregnant fountain of useless trivia. Faye nibbles one of her rainbow cookies, slithering into a seat. "Lots of dragons seem to like cookies, it seems," she burbles, keeping-being-munched cookies protectively low. "'Specially Clumsith. He stole a whole /pile/ of cookies from me, once." Sraine peers out over the eggs with ever-curious eyes. "Indeed...I've never been able to see dragon eggs before..." she whispers, still in a reverent state about where she was. "They're beautiful.." a statement and also a comment to the gold before her. "Absolutely beautiful..." 'lizards perched everywhere they can upon her form chitter softly in agreement. At the introductions, she turns and gives a very small smile, a bare lift of the corners of her lips, towards Zali; extending her hand, she finishes with a proper introduction. "A pleasure to meet you Zali." she answers, not speaking above her usual whisper-like tone. It may make her hard to hear, but as long as you hear her you're in good shape. Lylia comes up the stairs. Pia comes up the stairs. On the Gallery ledges, Alymath /looms/ from her position above all the people in the galleries, eyes awhirl with a prismatic display of colors that rivals Faye's cookies - which is what she's looking at. Like a little canine, the dragon starts to salivate and... goob. Uh-oh. Tail swishswishes on the smooth stone of the ledge in impatience, and the dragon /fidgets/. Compulsively. Pia clambers up the stairs, drawn by more than the delicious warmth, and blinks at the rather generous crowd. Smiles are offered to the two? three? people she knows and she settles down onto the warm stone of the galleries. "Liiiiiis." Merph. Lylia bounces up the stairs, nearly tripping, before the brownrider skids to a stop. Emerald eyes blink, glancing about. /People/. Giving a shy wave, and glancing back to see Pia also entering the galleries, the rider takes refuge behind the Pregnant One. 'Cause she can. But she peers over at Pia once more. "You got all cleaned up after Druseth's... attention?" Innocent question, really. Faye cheerily waves iridescent cookie towards Lylia, as well as to the other white-knotted one, Pia. Brightness fades a tad; Alymath is noticed, and just eyed. "Uhm ... Lis?" So much for not-close goobing-range, the green still knows how to intimidate the poor Cook. "Alymath's ... looking at me funny." Pia pats her still-damp hair as an answer. "This weyr has lovely bathing caverns," says the Apprentice lazily. "Almost as nice as the ones at Fort Hold." Zali reaches out her own hand to shake Sraine's. "And you Sraine." She smiles crookedly, and a bit tiredly, at the other girl before taking her seat agian. She turns toward Pia as she enters, with a small grin. "Hello agian, fellow candidate. What did you say your name was?" Or did she? Zali's egg-gazing is interrupted as she greets Pia cheerfully. "I'm Pia," the girl replies, inching towards the crowd. Inch. Inch. "What was yours again?" On the sands, Tiareth finishes making herself a new nest, and walks across it's length to whuffle the sleeping Chiernnath. Then the old queen peers up at the galleries and the neverending flow of people up there. Crooon. Aren't my children lovely? "Nicer when you've got a naked bluerider in there." Smirking, Lylia gives a little nod of the head towards the candidate, grinning. "Hope you're settling in well. No grapes here, at least." Just precious wine. But Faye gets a bright grin and a giggle. "Alymath looks at many things funny... Male dragons included." The child takes it she isn't bothering Tiareth that much since the lovely gold didn't reply. Giggling softly, Hyzen gently kicks her legs and feet against the stone wall, hands placed to each side of her as she slowly rocks from one side to the other. Alymath is eyeballed warily before her attention is grabbed by Lylia's arrival. "Lylia!" comes the now common sqeal of the day as Hyzen rotates upon the wall to peer at her other friend. Whee! All her friends! Just needed Anely now and Hyzen would be content. Le sigh. "How's Druseth?" comes the curious question. "If you need any other... special orders," Pia offers lazily, "I can get them. Vintners have access to all sorts of vintages." And with a slight frown, she adds: "No, there was no one else in the baths. I don't share well." Lis only hears the words 'naked' and 'bluerider', in that order respectively. "There's naked blueriders in the baths? And I'm missing it?" she queries of Lylia, frowning pensively at the brownrider. It's just not fair. Turning back to Faye, though, Lis merely shrugs and looks up at the Baker with an unconcerned expression. "Alymath looks at lots of people funny." Sraine thoroughly shakes the proffered hand before letting it fall again to her side. Catching Lylia's wave out of the corner of her eye and turns to offer a small smile and an equally small wave towards the rider before turning back to the sands. She wanted to take in as much of this as she could before having to go do something else. This was so....exhilarating. Leaning forward a little more on the wall, she grins brightly at the gold. "I hope I'm not overshooting any boundaries here." she offers a little louder then her normal whisper, letting the dragon know her intentions. "I just want a better look of the eggs...they're gorgeous!" she exclaims...well....as much of an explanation as the quiet resident can give. As more people arrive, she doesn't really notice. Awareness is somewhat kept on Hyzen and Zali, since she knows them best, but they're quickly lost. Green head turns and chitters towards her humanpet curiously and a giggle erupts from Sraine's lips. "I'm afraid your egg was a -lot- smaller Ner.." Zali smiles, reaching down to pick up the fallen cloak and place it on the bench beside her. "Zali. I'm Zali. I'm a dolphincrafer apprentice." She pauses, her brow furrowing. "Or was...or whatever." She turns to glance at Lis agian, hearing the naked blueriders from her, not Lylia. Is the rider always this odd, or is it just her pregnancy? Then agian, Zali isn't exactly one to be talking about odd. Golden wings appear in the air, caring the little golden firelizard down from the spot she had just popped in from. Kin's slender neck snakes about and a shoulder is spotted that she can use--Hyzen's shoulder. A faint chirp is given and the small near ivory gold does a little dive for the young girl's shoulder. "I'm a Vintner apprentice," Pia adds, taking the seat next to the other candie. "Do dolphins really talk?" "But she's gonna goob me. /Again/." Faye looks at brownrider with a pout, cradling precious rainbow cookies possessively. "Maybe even my cookies, this time." And cookies just don't deserve that. "Loren, hide your cookies," advises the Cook to her Tillek-friend. On the Gallery ledges, Alymath is scaring Faye? Oh, goody-goody rainbow cookies! Leaning over the lip of the ledge, the green cranes her neck closer to the iridescent goodie held in the Baker's hand, salivating all the while with glistening pre-goobs rolling down the arm's length of her pinkpink tounge. "Hyzen!" Beaming, Lylia gives a finger-waggle, grinning brightly at the girl. "Druseth's great! How're you?" But smirking, Lylia turns to glance at Lis, amusement in her eyes. "In the past yes. And this morning... Well, this morning was amusing." She shouldn't start on certain things. "Oh!" Eyes once more widen in appreciation of Pia, grin still there. "That would be lovely.... We've got our share of wine lovers here." Pia's gonna be popular with that kind of generosity. Pia has connections. And she certainly needs to resort to bribery -- few would like her otherwise. Loren blinks slightly, then twitches. That's a nice thing to.. ah.. 'wake up' to. "Naked blueriders?" The runner inquires confusedly, still munching on a cookie. "Where?" Button nose twitches as the brownhaired girl sniffles, and amethyst eyes blink again as she gets warned by Faye. "What? Hide cookie? ..ooh. Alymath. Goobing." Blink. "Li-i-i-is, is Alymath gonna goob again? Faye just ga'me my cookie, an' I don' wan' it goobed on, 'less Alymath 'tends to eat it afterwards, 'cause I won't." Twitchtwitch, and the runner nibbles faster. Maybe she can finish soon. Wait. Wait. As attentive to words as Alymath is to certain cookies, Lis sits up and fixes Lylia with a look of intense concentration. "There were naked blueriders in the bath /this/ morning?" And Lis missed it. At Loren's whine, the greenrider just waves a hand annoyed at the whiner. "Sush, I'm trying to listen to gossip here!" Much, much more important than any goobings or such. Faye is going to have to hide behind silver-clad one again, isn't she? She /does/ sneak out of her seat innocently, dragging feet 'gainst the floor, stopping beside Loren. "I wonder if she can get me from here. I don't think so." Whew. Safe. No need to worry, now. "So, ah, Loren, delivered any messages to any Bakers lately?" Must ignore goobish-one somehow. Zali grins and nods. "Yes, they really do! Everyone always asks that, but they do!" She waves her hand a bit dismissively. "Not perfectly, but they can. You should go see one sometime." The talk of dolphins reminds Zali of somthing and she blinks. "Oh, my. I never got to introduce Liuth, or Lisanth or whoever to a dolphin!" She sits quietly for a moment, but there's nothing to do about it now. Instead, the candidate turns to the group of riders. "Naked blueriders? What do they have to do with anything?" "What on earth is so good about naked blueriders?" Pia inquires curiously. "I doubt that if you asked any of the blueriders to take off their clothes that they would protest too much." Hyzen spots the arrival of Kin and beams happily, offering her clear shoulder to the lovely little gold. "'lo there Kin. How're you, lovey?" comes the child-like voice, eyes sparking happily as she takes in the small form of Ane's fire-lizard. Lylia's words are noted and she nods towards the rider warmly. "That's good. I'm great too! Did ya see all the purty eggs?" She waves a small hand in the direction of the clutch and two occupying dragons upon the sands. One eye is always kept upon the ivory gold and a soft giggle erupts from her form. Another twitch, and Loren brandishes her cookie in the general direction of the non-goob-worried Lis before shaking her head at Faye's question. "No, haven't. Mostly just.. well.. stuff.. and stuff.. I haven't delivered anything /to/ the Bakers, but some of my messages may have been about them. I dunno, since I can't read." Munchmunch--Loren's determined to finish her cookie before Alymath goobs Faye--if she does, this time. Munchmunch. "There's always naked riders in the bath, Lis." Lylia waves it off. Really. "Me and Chouth got back early this morning, and I decided to get rid of the dragon stench." Not that Druseth has a stench. It's the other dragons in the bowl. "And as for what's so good about naked blueriders. I suggest you ask Lis. Or Quara." Faint smirk returning to the brownrider's lips, she begins to lounge. Mwaha. On the Gallery ledges, Alymath is now hunched over on the very littlest bitty edge of the ledge, forepaws danging down below with her rear in the air as she /streeeetches/ forward towards the cookie bearing pair with - could it be? - a goob hanging from the tip of her tounge. Goob Wars II - The Dragon Strikes Back. Kin rustles her paper thin wings upon her back, creeping closer to Hyzen's soft neck. Oooh, warm... Little gold lets out another soft cheep sound before rubbing the top of her angular muzzle along the girl's jaw line. Tail flicks out and curls ruthlessly around the kidlet's warm neck. Naked blueriders, oh no, lets not go there, Princess Kin has virgin flit ears, yup. Shh... no talking like that in front of her. Maaaaaaynard! Aaaaaaanely! Anely comes up the stairs. Faye lifts not-cookie-holding hand, twisting newly-cut lock of hair around index finger -- it's a new habit. "We Apprentices usually just get messages to deliver and pick up things. It's really not fair. Or fun. The baking is the most fun paaalymath!" Conversation-voice turns to a shrill squeak, Baker ducking behind Loren. ShieldLoren. "That's no way to, uh, get cookies, you know," she scolds from behind runner. "Goobing isn't ... polite." Sraine's ear catches something that really -can't- be ignored. Come'on. It's not that often a girl like herself hears something like -that-. "Naked -what-?" is the quiet murmer to herself, trying to shake the image that was suddenly implanted in her head. NAUGHTY!!! Closing her eyes and shaking her head physically this time, all she recieves is an even stronger picture in her mind and a scalp full of claws from a brown trying desperately to hold on. "Sorry Chu.." is the response before she takes a step back with a gasp. Whoah...She hadn't seen Alymath getting so close. Original surprise is overcome and she once again takes her place at the walls edge, admiring the eggs by her lonesome. On the sands, Tiareth rustles her wings. Ahem. No one is paying any attention to /her/. The pretty gold on the sands. Down here. Yoo-hooo! Mother of those eggs you all hold so dear. Where'd that little girl go? The one who talked to her? And yet another twitch as Loren notes that Alymath wants not only one cookie, but two. "Fa-a-aye.. I think she's gonna try to goob you again." Blinkblink. "Faye? Augh, you're behind me." Munchmunch. Amythest eyes are kept focused on the cookie-hungry green, and Loren twitches yet again. "..um.. yeah. What.. what Faye said.." Brown Wufei is clutched closer, and the little firelizard eyes Alymath warily. There's really no justice in goobing, you know. No justice. Lis can answer Zali's question /quite/ easily. "They're naked. Blueriding or brownriding or bronzeriding, so long as they're nice to look at." Really, the greenrider isn't always this bad - think if it as a sort of 'hazing'. And lucky lucky Zali and Pia get to be subjected to it... along with anyone within earshot. Alymath's antics go unnoticed, as the greenrider's enjoying herself far too much. ignored..sniffle sniffle... *munch munch* Eeee. ^_^ Abandoning any thought of blue-riders, naked or otherwise, Pia gazes down onto the sands, regarding the piled eggs with a wistful gaze. "How many are there?" "You forgot greenrider, dear. T'nis..." Smirk returning, Lylia leans back, tilting her head. "All are nice, really." Pia and Zali have to suffer it sometime, but the question of eggs gets attention. "Twenty-two. I'll bet six or seven are bronze." "And how many candidates are there, usually?" Pia's gotta figure out her odds, see? On the Gallery ledges, Alymath's haunches collapse with a great slap of dragonhide on stone as a small cloud of dust rises up from the impact. This only serves to waver the goob on her tounge just that little bit, spit sparkling in the dim light. Silly humans - when will they learn? Give her the cookies, and nobody gets hurt... "/Whhhhat/!" The ebon clad form of one of the weyr healers skitters up the stairs, brushing snow off of her shoulders and her cape as she quickly makes her way over towards where the mental annoyance is. "Kin! Kin! Stop that!" Anely snaps at the said firelizard--who abruptly lets out a whimper and burrows herself fiercely into the girl's neck. Lapis eyes are rolled before the healet slides towards the edge of the railing. A blink is given to the wing rustling gold, but just a blink and a tender gaze, nothing more. Yes, the gold is pretty, the eggs are just eggs, eggs that hold dragons. Sigh... dragons, yes... Zali glances about curiously, starting to chuckle quietly as echos of 'naked blueriders' begin to bounce around the galleries. Standing quietly, Zali grabs her cloak -- err, Anely's cloak. "I'm tired. I came all the way from Ista today." Nevermind that the journey between took them only a few minutes. "I think I'm going to go sleep for a bit. Or get some food or something," The candidate announces to anyone intrested, before she scoots back across the galleries and toward the stairs. /No/ justice in goobing is right. Faye holds cookies close, lowly ducking behind Loren. /She'll/ be goobed this time. "It's definitely too far to the living caverns this time," she observes with a pout, still hiding behind silver-tunic'd one. Poor Cookie. "Urm, don't be polite and you don't get cookies, Alymath. Goobing is definitely not polite." Sraine blinks a moment as the gold rustles her wings. Smile flitters back upon her features, having been temporarily displaced by all the talk going on around her. Aquamarine-hued orbs of vision flicker over the eggs before coming back to the gold mother. Moving her hand up and resting her chin in a cupped palm, she stares down at the eggs with a wistful look before finally speaking again. "You must be very proud...you have a wonderful clutch...and quite large too." she notes, idly counting as she goes. "Twenty-two!" she smiles and closes her ice-eyes a moment before returning to the gold and eggs. "Bravo." is the quieter response before she goes quiet again. It was one thing to talk to a dragon...but talking so casually to a gold? Oh dear...Lowering her head a little bit, the resident goes silent and unnoticeable once more in her watchings. Hyzen tries to ignore the talk about blue-riders and their nakedness... but they were right behind her for goodness sakes. Sighing softly, she squints her eyes and -stares- intently at Tiareth and the eggs. Feeling Kin burrow closer to her, the child offers a soft giggle and gently tilts her head to nuzzle gently along the small, little form. "I love you, Kin. What've you been up to?" She turns when Anely arrives, a definantly different sound coming from her than the others had gotten. Somewhere between a happy giggle and a low-pitched squeal. "Ane'!" comes the loving cry and child holds out her hands to her 'mother'. Eyes dart down to Tiareth and a smile curves her lips. "I'm still lookin', even if the others aren't, Tia!" is produced, not aware that the gold may not like the nick-name Hyzen had given her. Whee fun... Loren makes a vague attempt to scoot back a little, but doesn't succeed--Faye's still behind her, you see. "Fa-a-aye.. she's gonna /goo-o-ob/. Maybe.. maybe we should each just give her a cookie so she doesn't?.. no, Wufei, stay here. Or, better yet, sit with Quatre. I don' want you to get goob'd, too." A faint sniffle is emitted, and Loren inches forward.. an inch. Maybe two, but it's close enough. "..maybe we /should/ give her the cookies? Maybe? Just to be safe, you know?" Twitchtwitch. "I don' wanna be goo-o-ob'd on. My tunic'll get ..gooby.. you know?" On the Gallery ledges, Bah, what is one cookie between friends? Or between enemies? Alymath continues to lower that goober with expert precision, dancing it a few handspans above Faye and Loren's head before slurrrrping it back up to a safer level. Hee hee hee... From over in the galleries, Lis barks at her lifemate, "Quit it!" but it seems to have little effect. Abandoned by her fellow candidate, Pia slides down to lean against the railing, arms folded 'cross the top. Gazing. On the sands, Tiareth blinks as something hits her on the back of the neck. She turns her head upward, rumbling a query. All right, who's flicking pebbles at the new momma? "Nono," Faye burbles to both the green and Loren, clutching rainbow cookies close to self. "We /can't/ give her a cookie, Loren. She'll learn to be ... nice. 'N' I don't wanna go to the baths again, Alymath." She already took a bath. "Don't goob us, please?" Hidehide, brown optics peer out just slightly. And then I had to leave. Ask Loren or Fye, they might have more of the log ;)
