Donita Rose Ramos Cavett, or simply Donita, is the 25-year-old stunner who has brought our country to the forefront with her charm, wit, and poise. She is hailed not only as one of Asia's most beautiful faces, but also one of its greatest talents. To her close friends, this enchantress is simply known as Taba, Shamoo, or Moo.

Donita got her start in showbiz over a decade ago as a teenybopper playing cutesy roles in local flicks. She has practically grown up before the public's very eyes, evolving with each film, TV show, and commercial.

Just like any other teener, she went through many awkward stages, yet survived them all with grace. When she first appeared on screen, she was this shy but sweet adolescent who could barely speak a word in Tagalog. Today, she radiates confidence and spunk in both the Philippine and international scene as MTV's darling VJ, hosting shows such as MTV Fresh, MTV Most Wanted, Asia Hitlist, and MTV Connect. She also has a starring role in the Singaporean TV sitcom Money. Not to mention prize endorsements for Globe Telecom, Secret, Greenwich Pizza, Lux Shampoo and Sharp Minidiscs (Singapore). Donita has also been the editor's pick, as her pretty mug graced the covers of top glossies both here and abroad including the much-raved about Time feature.

In love, she has had her share of heartbreak and mistakes. Who could forget her highly–publicized romance with action star Gary Estrada, which had loyal fans weeping as the love affair went sour. Although she is not linked with anyone at the moment, it is quite obvious that this lass is not lacking in love from her family, friends, and fans.

With all the opportunities and challenges that have come her way, Donita attributes her strength and resilience to her faith in God. "My trust and faith in the Lord has seen me through everything," she shares. She says that the greatest lesson that she has learned so far is "That if you seek God earnestly and do your best to live in obedience to His will , you will be blessed abundantly. When you experience trials in life, you will have peace in your heart and you will have confidence to know that God is in control of every situation and he will get you through your hardships to emerge as a better and more mature human being."

Behind the spotlight, Donita prefers keeping low-key, even in her choice of fun. An ideal day would be spent hanging out by the pool with her pals, or, even better, the beach. After a hectic day, she gets rid of her excess energy, and consequentially, keeps herself fit and fab, by spending an hour or two at the gym. On a night out with the gals, she enjoys trying out new restaurants, and going to movies. On the other hand, her hectic schedule–jetting all over Asia for MTV and modeling assignments–doesn't leave much time for a real vacation. However, when she can squeeze it in, Donita dreams of visiting Egypt, Jerusalem, the Carribean and Europe someday, with her whole family in tow.

Beneath all the glitz and glamour her showbiz career has brought to her life, Donita remains to be a well-grounded and spiritual individual. Her deep faith has made her an exceptional human being, who, despite the hurdles she has faced in the past, has found peace and love within herself.
