The baby of the family, though these days he's giving his older brothers
a run for title of tallest! :> Risto was born when I was graduating from
high school, so my memories of him go all the way back to the beginning
-- when I helped feed him, took him for walks around Carlisle and Fairfax,
laughed at his first attempts to say 'squirrel' and 'buffalo,' sat through
plays performed from his closet, took him to the library, couldn't get over
his rendition of "Light My |
Fire" as a four-year-old, and dorve him around to everything for a
week when he was 10 and my folks were on an anniversary trip. :> Despite
the age difference, we've always gotten along wonderfully. We have similar
senses of humor, a lot of interests in common, and he likes the way I fold
shirts. :> Risto's the best and brightest of us all and he got the full
measure of the family's male charm. And he's a killer hockey player; these
days for UVA. |
