The Wall
The wall I brought up
was to keep feelings out
to stop my heart from breaking
so I would have no doubts
It's worked fine so far
even though I was alone
but now you show up
and my feelings are shown
I tried so hard to fight
to tell myself there's no way
but looking into your eyes
are more than words can say
Yet it's still hard to let you in
fearing the worst will go wrong
knowing I've been hurt
way too long
So please be patient
my life will soon be sound
and for once
this wall will come down
