Faith Is

What It Means to Believe in Jesus Romans 1

Laying a solid foundation of faith is essential to gaining a sense of unshakable peace.

If we are unclear about who Jesus is and what place

He holds in our lives, then our faith will be flimsy.

To believe in Jesus Christ is to have a confident conviction that He is who the Bible says He is and that He keeps His promises.

By placing our trust in Him, we enter into a personal and eternal relationship with the Son of God.

Jesus came to earth to deliver us from sin's grasp.

He came to set us free from the power of guilt and shame.

He said, "I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness" (John 12:46 niv).

His life is more than a footnote in history"He changed it.

However, our salvation from sin and death, both in this lifetime and in eternity, comes when we believe in Jesus, not just believe that He lived.

There is little debate over whether Jesus lived, even among opponents of Christianity.

Jesus does not allow those who seek Him to remain in darkness.

Our lives are transformed when we believe more than just the fact that He existed.

We must also trust that He is the Son of God and that through our belief in Him our lives will be changed.

To save us, to transform us"that's why Jesus came to die for the sins of the world.

And when we truly believe in Him, that same resurrection power that was in Christ rests within us.
