Life is not measured by the length of years but by the quality of moments.

Remember, If God had meant for man to fly He would have given him wings. 

And many a pilot believes that He has.         

Worry should be imprinted with a large sign which reads "Obstacles in this area appear to be much larger than they truly are."

One thing which you can give to someone that is more precious than gold, that they can never give away or that you can never take back, is your time.

If you know Jesus, tell someone; If you don't know Jesus ask someone.

A friend is someone having been exposed to your true character, loves you anyway.

Mercy cannot be earned, grasped or even expected.  It is a pure gift of God through the power of His Holy Spirit.

Flying in the face of adversity is not an act of bravery. 

Laughing at it while it has its foot on your neck is.

Defeat comes swiftly and easily to those who are looking for it.

Don't listen to the lies of the enemy but always know that victory is just around the corner.

Defense is not within ourselves for we have no power of our own to overcome.

If a man can accomplish one thing which is lasting it must be by implanting love in the hearts of others.

People will go to great lengths to entertain and amuse themselves, while the word of GOD goes wanting.

By the words of your mouth you have the ability to change peoples lives, for better or worse is up to you.

If God is not real then why does He take time to speak with me each morning?

God does not judge anyone by what they say or do, but rather who they chose to pledge their allegiance to.         

Why is it that we strive so hard to get ahead, but when we finally arrive we find that someone else has already been there and gone?

Chance does not exist; Fate does not exist; Luck does not exist. 

Only the providence of the living GOD remains to govern the lives and affairs of men.

To live for self is to decay. 

Only the things which God ordains will remain everlasting.

The daily chores of modern man seam too mundane to be of any lasting significance, but don't forget that a cup of cool water given in love will be remembered in a special record book.

Man is not brought to the banquet to gorge himself, but to feed those who may not be able to reach the table.         

Greed has no place in the life of a Christian. 

It will either cause him to withhold from God what He requires of him,  or taint his testimony.         

If anyone who professes to be a child of God but does not look to the whole word of God for the basis of their doctrine, they will find that they have cut off the very thing that they need to experience or preach true fullness.

If we pluck a word of truth out of thin air then we will find that our truth has no more substance than the thin air which it was fabricated from.

We walk from day to day down the path of our own choosing. 

Where that path leads will determine whether we achieve the goal that we first had in mind.

To make olive oil you must be sever with the olives. 

Whether beaten or pressed their life blood must be extracted, they will not give it up willingly. 

And if they were to grant it of their own free will it would be worthless.

No one can crucify himself.

The perfect ring of a bell is not determined by the weight of the metal within it but by the fire which it has passed through.

When life closes in from all sides do not think of it as an enemy but as a comforter.

If we treat our friends like we do our enemies we will begin to be bitter and suspicious, but if we treat our enemies like our friends we will begin to see the love of God at work in our heart.

God has placed us in a capsule of time to remind us of our need for His great and mighty love.

What we think will make us happy is usually far below the grand expectations that our God has planned for us.

Desire and passion are not synonymous with the pure love which we truly need to be the whole and complete person we were designed to be.

Why do men seam to get so disheartened at things over which they have no control, and pridefully take credit for things that they think they do control.

When a man establishes his confidence in his own abilities he is basing his trust on shifting sand. 

Not until he realizes that he is lowly and totally dependent on the one who created him will he find the ROCK of true stability.

Why do we trust in the things which we can see until we have totally exhausted all our own resources before we turn to prayer?

If you want to show yourself friendly and hospitable God will not bring you before kings but rather the beggars of this world.

Pity is not a thing to be worn like a badge for all to see but as the blood is pumped by the heart safely concealed from the view of others and distributed to all the body pity is to be given like a precious gift to those we find in need.

While walking in the sun one day, and thinking the heat to be unbearable I saw a small tree with withered leaves and was refreshed to know that I could get a cool drink of water any time I wished.

Wise men are not made wise by acquiring knowledge but by listening to God as He tells us how to assimilate that knowledge.         

The jailer can set you free, but only the judge can make you free.

I feel that too many people misquote John 8:32 "And ye  shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free".

You know that you are rich when your friends and loved ones look to you as a source of encouragement and blessing.

True riches are not measured by the amount of wealth which you have acquired, but by the wealth of grace and love you impart to others.         

Do all you can, with all you can, for all you can, while you can. 

We only pass through this life once and only what is done for others in love will last forever.

For the narrow minded there is a small gate which the broadminded cannot enter. 

Beyond this gate there is a path so narrow and straight that it can only be followed by those with a straight and unwavering vision.

We fight so hard to achieve something for ourselves, and then give it up gladly when we are convinced that there is something better ahead.

The youth are convinced of immortality, the middleaged are fearful at the thought of mortality, and elderly are comforted by the truth of them both.

We are creatures of time but man is the only creature who is a slave to it.

When all is said and done we should shut up.

The things which we accomplish and the legacy we leave to this world are only done by the power of the Spirit, for all that we do on our own will fade before we leave here.

Wrong thinking does not come from the mind of man but from the heart. 

That is why education will never free us.

Temptation is not spoken of these days. 

Could it be that we are so tempted that we are ashamed to acknowledge it.?

A great man is not measured by his wealth nor his power but by the acceptance and love he receives from his fellow man.

The sun shines as brightly upon the optimist as it does on the pessimist; however the optimist welcomes it as a blessing while the pessimist sees it as a curse.

When you meet a man who has accomplished his goals and is satisfied with his life, sit at his feet, for you surly have something to learn from him.

When we fail to grasp a situation firmly it will elude us and slip from our grasp like quick silver. 

We must asses the situation and pray about it before we attempt to change anything.

Wealth is not something that we get by our own means but only by the grace of the Almighty who gives to all what He knows will bless and benefit.

Our lives are not a single cell but a collection of a much larger body.

Greed and covetousness will avail a man nothing, for he will lose track of his true objectives and follow that selfish desire to hell.

Our wandering may bring us to the place we want to go, but it is much better to follow the map which has already been laid out for us.

If you want to see a fruitful harvest you must work at planting the seeds.  You never know what will spring up if the garden is left on its own.

We strive so hard to please ourselves and bring to pass what we want while our brother goes without. 

If we only knew that in serving others we serve ourselves a most delicious dish which we could never have planned.

Take thought only of the moment, speculation on the future or reminiscing on the past only uses valuable time and effort.

The direction your life is going in is determined by the one who you are following.

Things which seem difficult may turn out to be simple if you open both eyes and your mind.

We complain about the weather,  the actions of others and all those things which we can never control, but neglect to give thanks for those things which we can control.

Why do people tend to take for granted the little things of life when they are what makes life so enjoyable?

We have been given all that we need to accomplish the necessary things in life.

Why do we strive so hard to acquire things which will accomplish more than we need?

Self fulfillment and self aggrandizement is the goal of the life of most people today. 

If we could only turn our energy outward to others instead of inward to our own desires we would know true happiness and joy.

The sun shines and we complain of the heat, the clouds come and we complain of the cold,  why can we not receive what we are given with thanksgiving and wait until the end to judge right and wrong.

A coin is just a coin, only the worth which is imparted to it makes it valuable or worthless. 

In the same way the worth of our lives will be counted as valuable or worthless depending on the time we spend in the presence of the Master to receive instructions for His work.

A man was walking down a road one day and stopped to pick up a shiny pebble. 

The stone turned out to be a diamond which was very valuable.

Many people had traveled down that same road but never looked to see what wealth they were walking over.
