Although not a shoulder sleeve insignia most airborne units had a distinct oval badge worn under the parachutist
badge worn on the left breast. The one pictured above is a generic one for all artillery units that were part of Airborne Divisions.
Airborne Infantry Brigade

The 2nd Airborne Infantry Brigade was sent to Europe were it was broken up and used to reinforce the airborne
divisions in the theater. Its two regiments were the 501stand 508th.
