Marine Grade Insignia
PART ONE: General, Field, Company, and Warrant Officers
General Officers
Marine generals wore stars similar to those of Army generals in grades to full general. I have no original examples of those
of Marine general officers.

The grades of Chief Warrant Officer and Warrant Officer were established during the Second
World War when the preexisting single warrant officer grade was divided into two. I do not have an
original example of the insignia, but it is a gold bar with a central red enamel stripe.
