Flower Power

Well I have convinced my boss to let me plant flowers in front of the office. We have these plant beds along the front of the building. They used to have plants in them but a year or so ago when we remodeled the outside of the VAC the workers trampled all the plants so that left us with a pile of dead plants and weeds. Since our Colonel is visiting next week, the original plan was to just cover it all up with mulch. I must have really been charming yesterday or my boss was sick of me mentioing how a splash a color would make the place more inviting to visitors, because he sent me to Home Depot to price flowers. I can't get what I really want till spring but I have come up with a plan that I think will work really well for now. In one section I am planning a butterfly garden...should look great. I will try to take pictures. I should have taken some before shots so you could have seen how bad it really looked.

I came in early this morning and Josh and I weeded and prepared the beds. It is already hot outside and I think I managed to sweat off 5lbs. I am not looking forward to being ourside planting this afternoon. Must make sure I drink TONS of water.
