happyI was pulling into the office this morning when all the sudden a panic set in. I saw the landscapers here and they were doing something around the flowers I planted yesterday. I was afraid they were putting pine straw down and I didn't want that tacky stuff around my plants. I immediately ran up to the patio and my boss stopped me. I guess he could see the panic in my eyes. He said not to worry that Delmer was taking good care of me. I looked over at Delmer who was smiling from ear to ear. I then looked down at the flower beds to see he was placing this beautiful hardwood mulch neatly and delicately around my flowers. I almost started crying. Delmer came through!!! He said he knew from the look on my face the other day that I had an absolute hatred for pine straw and he wanted to make sure I was happy (probably because I am the one who writes the checks). Well needless to say that I am VERY happy. The front of the Visitor Center is really starting to look nice. It is actually a pleasure now to look out my windows. The Colonel probably wont even notice all the hard work we did but I will know and that is really all that matters.
I uploaded a couple of pictures to photobucket this morning. These pictures were taken yesterday before the mulch. But just imagine that the flowers are now surrounded by a beautiful dark brown mulch. Enjoy!
