Weltanschauung (German for world outlook) is a viewpoint that defines how one understands or comprehends the world. Some philosophers have argued that the validity of one Weltanschauung over another cannot always be determined by reason, because the nature of human existence transcends objective inquiry; we are part of, and thus cannot be objective about, our own existence. But perhaps if we look at the diversity and plurality of human experience, our personal awareness of existence can become more universal.
