Here's an fun story. I made this sculpture - called "Hand UP", as a gift to Rhea Fiken for her help in "giving a hand up" to the Arts in Maryland. I dropped it off at her office at the MPT studios. Later I learned that it was the wish of her staff for me to present the sculpture to her live on the air.
As you can see it is an abstract form that mimics the human arm, but it seemed too gracefull to disturb the shape with the suggestion of fingers.
