When you are grieved, downcast alone
And sorrow fills your heart
When tears flow down your cheeks unknown
And your world is falling apart
When all you see is darkness
The road looks rough ahead
Listen for that small still voice,
Remember what Jesus said.
When no one seems to understand
And you're full of guilt or shame
Remember Jesus's promise
And just call upon His name.
Seek out His tender mercy
Lift your voice to heaven above
Accept His forgiving grace
And fill your heart with His Love.
With the innocence of a child
Call on Him to be taught
For He has gone before you
With His blood your were bought.
So when your heart is heavily laden
With cares throughout the day
Just hold on to the promise of Jesus
He stands with you all the way.
