Happy New Year

Jacqueline’s Junque

Glasses gently clinking,
the fireworks on display,
The end of another season
with tomorrow New Year's Day.
Surrounded by noise and laughter,
the bubbly flowing free,
The lights still brightly twinkling
on the yuletide holiday tree.

Another year is ending,
a new one about to begin;
When at the stroke of midnight,
I'll think of you, my friend.
With warmest heartfelt wishes
that your up and coming year,
Be filled with love and laughter,
for all those that you hold dear.

To your health, your wealth, your happiness,
may all your needs be met.
And when you've time to think of me,
I hope you won't forget,
That I love you more than ever,
and though you are not near,
I'll be the first to wish you well
while ringing in the New Year.
