It's been said my rose colored glasses
affect my point of view;
I don't see things in shades of gloom,
like some other people do.
I give people the benefit of the doubt,
and try to be understanding;
Believing in other's innate goodness,
so why the reprimanding?
Isn't it best to try and look
for the dark cloud's silver lining?
To make the best of situations
not giving in to complaining and whining?
Isn't it great to see a smile,
in a crowd of downcast frowns?
I'm just trying to keep my chin up
in the midst of lifes ups and downs.
It doesn't mean I'm foolish,
in fact it is a choice;
To believe each day has promise,
gives me reason to rejoice!
So you think I'm not realistic?
that I can't see the facts?
I'm looking for the good things,
not dwelling on the lacks!
So, call me naive or foolish,
I'll smile and say thats fair....
Oh, and about the rose colored glasses?
Don't you wish God gave you a pair?
