Losing

You may not have to worry about getting into your gown (as much) with
the new diet products hitting the shelves and the books out there.
Here are a few of the newer items that I have come across. For
one, the new Over the Counter Diet Aid called ALLI. It's getting

Preparing for your wedding is time-consuming, but don't make that an
excuse for not exercising.
The time to start exercising was yesterday, but I'm willing to give you
a break. The time to start is now, today, not next Monday!
Don't think, "I'll do it later," because later never
happens! Suck it up, put on your workout clothes, and get
going! I tell my clients, "If it were easy, everybody would be
doing it."
Exercise is not easy; it's a commitment -- just like
planning a wedding. You wouldn't shortchange yourself on the cake and
flowers, so why even think about shortchanging your own body? I always
remind brides-to-be that the cake and flowers are forgotten after the
wedding is over. But how many people leave their wedding picture on the
mantel for the rest of their lives? If anything, that should be
motivation enough! Who wants to look at her wedding picture year after
year and regret not being in shape or even not feeling her best?
This book focuses on simple, effective workouts that can be done in
your own home. Most can be completed, start to finish, in only an hour.
That's all it takes! If you can, find a friend, a bridesmaid, your maid
of honor -- anyone who is willing to work out with you and motivate you
-- and do the program together. I recommend working out at least three
times a week; irregular training will take much more time to achieve
results.
The average American watches 12 to 15 hours of TV a week. Do you
think on your wedding day you'll regret having missed another Friends
rerun? Or will you wish you' d taken the time to get your arms looking

of Thumb -- Your Gown and Body Type
Do you know what style flatters your body
type? Many brides don't, but by choosing wisely, you can highlight your
best features while camouflaging your "problem areas".
Today's Weddings has put together a guide that can help you look your
best for your wedding day. This is just a guide to go by; ultimately,
you have to decide what looks good on you and how you feel in it!
Styles that look good on everyone include A-line silhouettes, Queen Anne
necklines, tank/scoop necklines, cap sleeves.
FULL HIPS
Stick with:
A-Line silhouette (conceals fuller hips)
Avoid:
Sheaths (emphasizes fuller hips)
Overly full skirts (makes you look heavy)
THICK-WAISTED
Stick with:
Empire silhouette (hides thick waists)
Avoid:
Princess silhouette (draws attention to waist)
VERY SLENDER
Stick with:
Ball Gown silhouette (adds curves and enhances waistline)
Spaghetti straps
Dropped waistlines
Flaired skirts
Low necklines
FULL FIGURED
Stick with:
A-Line silhouettes
Basque waistlines
Open necklines, such as V-neck
Lots of detailing near neckline to draw attention to your face
Full skirts
Long sleeves (will hide chunky arms)
Avoid:
Spaghetti straps
Poufy sleeves
Open Clingy fabrics

PEAR-SHAPED FIGURE
Stick with:
Ball Gown silhouette (accentuates waist and hides hips)
Off the shoulder neckline (helps proportion your larger hips)
Detailed bodice and plain skirt
Avoid:
Bows in the back of your dress at hip level
HOUR-GLASS FIGURE
Stick with:
Sheath silhouette (emphasizes your curves)
Mermaid silhouette (also emphasizes your curves)
Portrait necklines (shows off your shoulders)
"V" necklines (also shows off your shoulders)
Strapless dresses
Avoid:
Too much beading and detailing (will make you appear heavier than you
are)
Full or ruffled gowns (will make you appear heavy)
High necklines (minimizes bust and will you disproportional)
Poufed sleeves (will make you disproportional)
PETITE
Stick with:
Sheath silhouette (adds length and makes you appear taller)
Princess silhouette (makes you appear taller)
Empire waist
High necklines
Short sleeve or sleeveless with long gloves
Avoid:
Ball Gown silhouette (makes you appear shorter)
Belts or waist seams
Detailing on the bottom of the skirt
SMALL BUST
Stick with:
Jewel neckline (makes bust look bigger)
V-neckline if a "B" or "C" cup
Bateau neckline (will make bust look bigger)
Strapless gowns
Sleeveless gowns
Avoid:
V-necklines if an "A" cup
LARGE BUST
Stick with:
A-Line silhouette
Sweetheart neckline

Avoid:
Jewel necklines (will make bust look bigger)

Country Wedding Soup
Liberty Tree Tavern, Magic Kingdom

6 cups chicken broth
1/2 cup carrots, cut in 1/2 inch dice
1/2 cup celery, cut in 1/2 inch dice
1/2 cup onion, cut in 1/2 inch dice
1/2 cup tomatoes, fresh, seeded and diced
1 clove garlic, chopped
2 cups red leaf lettuce, roughly chopped
1/2 cup smoked ham, cut in 1/2 inch dice
1/4 cup scallions, chopped
11/2 cups white rice, cooked
salt
pepper
16 turkey meatball (Recipe Below)
In a 4 quart soup pot, add chicken broth, carrots, celery, onion,
tomatoes, and garlic. Bring to a boil and simmer 20 minutes until
vegetables are tender but not mushy. Add lettuce, ham, scallions, and
rice. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add turkey meatballs. Serve
immediately.
Turkey Meatballs
1/2 pound turkey meat, ground
2 tablespoons onion, finely diced
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup bread crumbs, unseasoned
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients in s small bowl and
mix well. Form into 1/2 inch meatballs and place on a greased baking
sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until firm and fully cooked. Remove
from oven and add to soup.
