Last Will and Testament of Mary Ridgeway

In the name of God amen. I Mary Ridgeway of Jefferson County & State of Virginia do make this my last will and Testament in manner following. That is to say - Fist I will & direct that my just debts & funeral charges be first fully paid & satisfied _ Item. I will & bequeath to my Daughter Mary Ridgeway one bed bedsted & furniture. Item I will & bequeath to my Daughter Eleanor Ganes one red Cow & her calf. Known by the name of the red Hieffer __
The ballance of whatever estate I may die possessed off - I will and direct to be sold & equally divided between my three Daughters, Mary Ridgeway, Rebecca Ridgeway, & Eleanor Ganes __
And lastly I do hereby nominate, constitute, & appoint my friends Christopher Collins & Benjamin Strother executors of this my last will & Testament. Hereby revoking all other or former wills and Testaments, by me heretofore made. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this 23rd day of May 1806

This last will and Testament of Mary Ridgeway Dec'd was proved by the oaths of John McMakin & John McMakin Jr. two of the witnesses thereto & ordered to be recorded Test. Geo. Hite
