Peter Schirmer born 10 January 1722/23 in Winden, Kandel, Pfalz, Bavaria. Died 10 November 1794 in Surry Co., North Carolina. He was married 17 February 1749/50 in Bavaria to Maria Magdalena Wendel born about 1722 in Germany.
Their Children:
i. Anna Barbara Shermer born 7 May 1750 in Winden, Kandel, Pfalz, Bavaria. Christened 7 October 1753 in Germantown, Pennsylvania.
ii. Mary Magdalena Shermer born bet 1750-52 in Rowan Co., North Carolina. a.k.a. Molly.
iii. Maria Margaretha Shermer born about 1753 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
iv. Christina Shermer born about 1754 in Rowan Co., North Carolina.
v. Catherine Shermer born 6 February 1755 in Tayllorsville, Alexander Co., North Carolina. Died 17 July 1844 in Surry Co., North Carolina. She was married about 1780 in Surry Co. North Carolina to Frederick Danner born 1759 in Surry Co., North Carolina. Died 14 August 1839 in Surry Co., North Carolina.
vi. Peter Shermer born about 1757 in Rowan Co., North Carolina. Died about 1855 in Surry Co., North Carolina.

Peter Schirmer: Peter SHIRMER was from Germany where he was born ,then came to America on the ship "Phoenix" from Rotterdam 28 Aug 1750. He came among 339 passengers. Records show Peter made a land grant entry of 200 acres of land in Surry County, NC.,on both sides of the S. Fork of Deep Creek adjoining Frederick Shore, Peter Sprinkle & John McCollum 16 Sep 1778. Peter died ca. 1794 in Surry County, NC. This information obtained from PA., Census Records 1790; Will Dated 1791; & Land Deed 1791; Rupp's 30,000 names of immigrants, p. 237. 28 Aug 1750, on ship "Phoenix", John Mason, Capt., from Rotterdam, last from Cows.
Surry County, NC Will Abstracts. 3:14a. Will of Peter Shermon, 27 Sep 1791. Son, Peter, gets 200 acres homeplace. Wife, Molly, daughters: Barbara, Molly Groce, Margaret Shermon, Cathrine Danner, Mary Bruce, Christina Liverton; granddaughter, Molly Shermon. Exr: Son, Peter. SCMB, Mary Shearmon to George Kelton 27 May 1797. 1782 Surry County Tax List shows Peter Shermon with 200 acres on Deep Creek. The 1785 Tax List of Capt. Wright shows Peter Shearmer, Jr. with 200 acres, 1WP; the 1786 Tax List has Peter Shermer with 200 acres, 1WP.
