10 There are a number of court records in Washington Co. Ky, pertaining to John Janes, Charles Tennelly, Grace Tennelly Whalen and Monica Tennelly Compton. Monica widow of Josiah Tennelly married (2) 1799 Joseph Compton in Montgomery Co. MD. They had a prenuptal agreement etc. Montgomery Co. MD court record. Monica Compton is in the court records of Washington Co. KY giving land to her daughter Grace Tennelly Whalen, and Charles Tennelly. Also gives land to her daughter Elizabeth Bean, again Charles Tennelly is a wittness. Information about these records given by Mary Ann Shoemaker.

Benjamin appears to have been married to a Susannah. In the St. John's Piscatway Parish Register, two births are recorded:
a. Vialinda Tenaley bapt. 10 Jan 1768, dau. of Benjamin and Susannah
b. Cloe Tenley b: 22 Sept 1775 dau. of Benjamin and Sushannah.
Josiah Teneley:

Josiah was imprisoned for a time in 1769. Likely for debt. In, Proceedings and Acts for the General Assembly, 1769-1770, Joseph Tennelly is listed on a Prisoners Petition dated 25 November 1769, U.H.J., Liber No. 36, page 416.
