SHEKINAH GLORY EXPERIENCE ... By Alan

I was traumatized as a child and came into contact with other Christians that assumed that I was a Christian but I was not.

As a result of this crisis I asked God to reveal Himself to me. On Good Friday 1970 I went to sleep and found myself in a different realm and saw the shekinah * glory cloud around me. I experienced the love of God there was no escape from it. My body became invisible as the light of God made it so and I was overwhelmed by the experience that I could not help but worship Him and became aware of beings around me. . angels and / or men I was not sure!

* Note On Shekinah

The Shekinah Glory is the manifest Presence of God. The Shekinah means the Presence of the Messiah. It is Y'shua, God's Anointed, who is the manifestation of God's glory, as we read in the Bible.

"The Son being the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His very being and nature, upholds all things by His powerful word." (Hebrews 1:3 )

Shekinah is not actually a Bible word, but it is a Biblical concept. The word comes from the Hebrew verb "shakhen " meaning " to dwell. "

Shekinah is the truth, revealed in Scripture, that God will dwell with men: He will tabernacle Himself among them, and the intrinsic glory of His divine nature will be revealed and seen. The Shekinah has been manifest at times in both Old and New Testaments.

All I wanted to do was to stay where I was .When I woke up from that experience the first thing that I wanted to do was go back there. From a position of being an agnostic I found myself believing God so much that I gave my heart over to the Lord. Months later when I started to read the Scriptures I came across The Book of Revelation particularly chapters 4 and 5 (see below for few verses) and know what John experienced was my experience?

11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; 12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. 13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. Revelation 5: 11- 13

If you are not saved or a backslider I urge you to give your life to Jesus Christ. I offer the following prayer below as a first step.

Heavenly Father I come to you now. Lord, I am a sinner. I have sinned against you, even this day, but Lord, I come and ask you in the name of Jesus that you will forgive me for all my sins, that you will wash me in the blood of Jesus and I shall be cleansed from all sin. I thank you now for saving me. Come into my heart and into my life and Lord, lead me by your Spirit and help me to live for you from this day forth. I thank you now in Jesus' name, Amen.

To continue as a true believer you must follow the Lord Jesus Christ. This involves regularly: 1. Reading? the Bible; 2. Praying to God in Jesus? name; 3. Fellowshipping with other born-again believers.
