BIG MONEY

"Big Money! Big Money!" Those words, I am told, are often heard on various popular game shows. Why do people say that? Because money can make us happy?

If we love riches more than we love God—Who allowed us to become rich—then we are sinning.

In the Old Testament we find the following pertinent passages on riches.

" He that trusteth in his riches shall fall ..." Proverbs11:28

"Thus saith the LORD, ... let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, ... " Jeremiah. 9:23, 24

In the New Testament , Jesus told the following parable:-

"... The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God. " { Luke 12: 16-21}

Obviously the rich man's own temporal happiness was more important to him, than his relationship to his Maker.

How will the last night find you ... saved by grace and glory bound or going down to a lost eternity.

You cannot take it with you!!! Nobody has seen a U-haul following a hearse.

Therefore, repent and put your trust in Jesus Christ, and be saved. Make the following prayer your prayer and follow the other instructions below.

Heavenly Father I come to you now. Lord, I am a sinner. I have sinned against you, even this day, but Lord, I come and ask you in the name of Jesus that you will forgive me for all my sins, that you will wash me in the blood of Jesus and I shall be cleansed from all sin. I thank you now for saving me. Come into my heart and into my life and Lord, lead me by your Spirit and help me to live for you from this day forth. I thank you now in Jesus’ name, Amen.

To continue as a true believer you must follow the Lord Jesus Christ. This involves regularly:

1. Reading the Bible;

2. Praying to God in Jesus’ name;

3. Fellowshipping with other born-again believers.
