Jacqueline’s Junque
I never really had a chance
To prove myself to you.
You had already decided my fate,
Long before I ever knew.
I was nothing like any other
That you had let come near.
My motives and my reasons,
Were always honest and sincere.
There was nothing I wanted to take
But so much I longed to share.
It came from deep inside of me
And now I've locked it there.
As I look over my shoulder,
Seeing all I left behind,
I can only hope that someday
Complete happiness you'll find.
Maybe then you'll understand
Even if just in part....
How I only wanted to love you,
For mine was a harmless heart.
